Elite Players
Guards
Jalen Brunson, Knicks ($8,700) at Hawks
Brunson surpassed 45 DK points in each of his previous two outings, including a 36-point scoring performance in the game-before last. He faces an excellent opportunity to keep rolling offensively with a matchup against the Hawks, who are giving up the league's fifth-highest shooting percentage and fifth-most made three-pointers to opposing point guards.
Kyrie Irving, Mavericks ($8,200) vs. Bulls
Irving scored more than 25 points in three of the last four games and is averaging 26.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 0.8 steals per game over that span. He is up for a favorable matchup against the Bulls, who are giving up the league's seventh-most made three-pointers to opposing shooting guards, while also allowing opposing shooting guards to shoot an average of 40.4 percent from long range.
Forwards/Centers
Jimmy Butler, Heat ($7,600) at Suns
Butler is coming off a season-high 27-point scoring performance and is averaging 21.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.0 steals over the last five games. He faces a tough matchup against the Suns, but he has proven able to rise to the challenge, after he finished with 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists and a steal in their one encounter last season.
Pascal Siakam, Pacers ($7,600) vs. Magic
Siakam is averaging 20.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, including a season high of 53.8 DK points in a win over the Celtics, early last week. He should keep up the solid production with an advantageous matchup against the Magic, who are shorthanded in the frontcourt.
Nikola Vucevic, Bulls ($8,200) at Mavericks
Vucevic delivered more than 53 DK points in each of his last two outings and has a double-double in six of his seven appearances this season. He is up for a great opportunity to prosper with a matchup against the Mavericks, who are shorthanded in the frontcourt, and who are giving up the league's sixth-most free throws per game to opposing centers.
Expected Chalk
Jayson Tatum, Celtics ($10,200) vs. Warriors
Tatum surpassed 55 DK points in three of the last four games and is averaging 31.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.3 steals over that span. He is likely to deliver another strong performance against the Warriors, after he averaged 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.5 steals over their two meetings last season. He will also have to take on a more prominent role offensively due to the absence of Jaylen Brown.
Mid-Range Money
Russell Westbrook, Nuggets ($5,000) vs. Thunder
Westbrook is expected to pick up his third consecutive start due to the absence of Jamal Murray. Westbrook is coming off his second 20-point game of the season and is averaging 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.0 steals over the two starts. He is up for a tough matchup against the undefeated Thunder, but he should continue to drive his overall production by contributing across the stat sheet.
Tobias Harris, Pistons ($5,800) at Hornets
Harris is averaging 14.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 blocks over the last five games, including a high of 40.0 DK points. He faces a great chance to stand out against the Hornets, who are dealing with a couple of injuries in the frontcourt, and who are giving up the league's second-most free throws to opposing power forwards.
Jalen Duren, Pistons ($5,900) at Hornets
Duren is up for a favorable matchup against the Hornets' frontcourt in the absence of their first and second string centers. He is also averaging 9.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 blocks on the season, including a season-high 47.8 DK-point performance in the game-before last.
Value Picks
Tim Hardaway, Pistons ($4,000) at Hornets
Hardaway turned in 19 points in his last outing, which was his second-highest scoring total of the season. He is also shooting 51.0 percent from the field over the last five games and should find room to keep his offense going against the Hornets, who are giving up the league's fifth-most points per game to opposing small forwards.
Naji Marshall, Mavericks ($3,400) vs. Bulls
Marshall is expected to pick up the start for the Mavericks' shorthanded frontcourt. He also has a good chance to thrive against the Bulls, who are giving up the league's seventh-most points and second-most rebounds to opposing power forwards.
