FantasyAces NBA: Monday Values

FantasyAces NBA: Monday Values

This article is part of our FantasyAces NBA series.

RotoWire aims to help you win on Fantasy Aces, as we break down a few value plays that can help you build your lineups. We'll highlight several players priced no higher than $4,750, leaving you plenty of room to fit in the likes of Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, James Harden or Stephen Curry on Monday.

Guards

Axel Toupane, DEN at MIA ($3,000): The 23-year-old Frenchman makes for a nice minimum-priced play Monday, after seeing his minutes and fantasy points progressively rise in each of his first five games with the Nuggets. He's scored 14.50 and 19.50 fantasy points in last two, respectively, and just signed a new 10-day contract with Denver on Sunday. Already showing he can return 5x-6x value, Toupane could make for a sneaky under-owned value play that significantly opens things up elsewhere on your roster.

Devin Booker, PHX vs MIN ($4,850): Booker's price finally budged from the mid-$4K range, but he nevertheless remains a bargain at his current price. He's scored between 28.00 and 45.25 fantasy points over last six games, including two games over 40. While he saw a downturn in scoring in the Suns' last game Saturday against the Warriors with Brandon Knight's return to the starting lineup, Booker still put up a robust 19 shot attempts. His assists also climbed to a career-high 11, which could be a more frequent source of fantasy production for Booker with Knight starting alongside him.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, DET at WAS ($4,200): KCP's price remains unchanged despite two productive games over the weekend, and he's now scored between 20.25 and 38.00 fantasy points in his last five contests. Meanwhile, the Wizards, who may be without Bradley Beal (pelvis) again, rank in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points (55.3), points (20.3) and three-pointers (2.5) allowed per game to two-guards. They're also giving up the second-highest field-goal percentage (44.8) to the position this season.

Forwards

Andrew Wiggins, MIN at PHX ($4,750): Wiggins remains considerably underpriced relative to recent production, and he draws a great matchup versus the Suns' porous small forward defense. He has stepped up his all-around game over the last four, scoring between 31.50 and 41.00 fantasy points over that span, as well scoring over 30 fantasy points in two others in the last 10. He's also drained at least one three-pointer in five straight, and even recorded five steals versus the Thunder on Friday night. Wiggins will have a chance for similarly strong production against the Suns, who give up the second-most fantasy points (59.7), second-most points (21.1), fourth-most rebounds (7.5), most three-pointers (2.6) and second-highest field-goal percentage (46.7) per game to small forwards this season.

Marvin Williams, CHA vs. DAL ($4,650): Williams' price simply won't budge despite the fact that he's scored 32.25, 27.25, 28.50 and 33.00 fantasy points over his last four games, respectively. The versatile big man has also drained multiple threes in four straight games, and has scored over 20 points in his last two. He now draws a Mavs defense that ranks in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points (61.6) and rebounds (11.3) allowed per game to power forwards. Williams also set a nice precedent against the Mavs in their game earlier this season, finishing with 17 points and 12 rebounds back on Nov. 5.

Lance Stephenson, MEM at HOU ($4,600): Stephenson's price has seen an appreciable bump, but he remains a strong value play considering his role and potential ceiling. A forgotten man for the majority of his half-season stint with the Clippers, Stephenson has maximized his opportunities with Memphis off the bench, playing 37 and 29 minutes in his last two games, respectively. Stephenson has scored between 31.25 and 52.75 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and has been over 20 in five others in the last 10. The Grizzlies continue to be hampered by multiple injuries, and Mike Conley's (foot) extended absence figures to benefit Stephenson the most. He'll also be in an up-tempo game against a Rockets' defense that is allowing the ninth-most fantasy points (56.9), second-most three-pointers (2.8) and fourth-highest shooting percentage (44.3) per game to shooting guards this season.

Marcus Morris, DET at WAS ($4,300): The Pistons' small forward has scored over 30 fantasy points in two of his last three games, and he continues to contribute across the stat sheet. In addition to some solid scoring totals, he's hauled in seven boards in two of the last three and has drained at least one three-pointer in 10 straight games. He draws a tantalizing matchup against a Wizards defense that is allowing the third-most fantasy points (59.5), most points (21.6), fourth-most assists (3.8), second-most three pointers (2.5) and highest shooting percentage (47.0) per game to small forwards this season.

Centers

Tyson Chandler, PHX vs. MIN ($4,100): The 15-year veteran is showing few signs of slowing down in the season's latter stages, scoring 26.00, 27.50, 20.00 and 35.00 fantasy points in four of the last five games. He's also managed double-digit boards in those four contests and has three double-doubles during that span. Despite some terrific offensive performances from rookie Karl-Anthony Towns, he still struggles defensively, as the Timberwolves are allowing 49.00 fantasy points per game to centers over the last five, more than four points per game over their season average.

Enes Kanter, OKC vs. POR ($4,350): Kanter has come alive for the Thunder in recent games, scoring between 26.75 and 33.00 fantasy points over his last four contests. That span has also included three double-doubles, with the big man hauling in a whopping 50 boards during that period. The pump could be primed for another productive outing Monday, as the Blazers are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points (48.1), third-most points (21.8) and sixth-highest shooting percentage (54.1) to centers this season.
