FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Matthew Dellavedova, MIL at TOR ($3,900) – Despite three solid games since returning to the starting unit, Dellavedova's price still hasn't risen more than $4K. He's scored 18.5, 27.1 and 26.9 fantasy points in those three games and has played at least 29 minutes in each of those, showing his minutes are safe. Kyle Lowry's defense has been down this season and the Raptors have given up the ninth most fantasy points to opposing point guards over their last five.

Norman Powell, TOR vs MIL ($4,200)DeMar DeRozan hasn't been ruled out for tonight, so obviously using Powell is directly correlated to his availability. Powell has been in a scorer's frame of mind his last two games with DeRozan out, with 31 and 29.8 fantasy points showing the amount of upside he has as a starter. On the season, the Bucks are giving up the ninth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards. He'll be one of the chalkier plays if DeRozan is out but it's risky to fade him in cash tonight.

Tony Parker, SA at NO ($4,700) – Parker is listed as probable and should be ready to go after sitting out the last four games with a "sprained foot." Before the "injury", he was exceeding his value almost every game with a depressed price and at least 20.3 fantasy points in nine of his last eleven games. That includes five games between 27.9 and 37.1 fantasy points, showing that he still has upside. The matchup is ideal as well, as the Pelicans have given up the third most fantasy points to opposing point guards on the season.

Noah Vonleh, POR vs MEM ($3,600) – The matchup with the Grizzlies isn't great, but Vonleh has been consistent lately. He's hit 5X his value consistently with 16.4-to-21.1 fantasy points over his last five games. That shows he's a solid punt play if you need to pay up at other positions Friday.

Robert Covington, PHI vs HOU ($5,600) – Covington's minutes continue to be safe as he's played at least 31 minutes in each of his last five contests. He's scored at least 31 fantasy points in three of those games, and his worst effort was 20, so his floor and ceiling appear manageable. In addition, Houston plays an uptempo game, which should only help Covington's fantasy prospects.

Kristaps Porzingis, NY vs CHA ($6,600) – Porzingis is healthy again and his numbers were down last game because he got into foul trouble, something that won't show up when looking at his fantasy points on Fan Duel. This is the lowest his price has been in a while and it's the perfect time to buy-low on him. He's averaging 32.9 fantasy points on the season, which would amount to 5X value Friday.

Tristan Thompson, CLE vs BRO ($4,700) – The Nets are terrible at guarding the
position and give up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing centers. Unless Thompson gets in foul trouble, this should be an easy call as a punt play.

Clint Capela, HOU at PHI ($4,800) – This guy can be up and down, but he's produced 21.1 and 24.1 fantasy points since rejoining the lineup. He's the type of player that's always there to clean up the mess and is usable at this price even if Joel Embiid plays.
