TEAM ANALYSIS
Defenses to Avoid
Washington Wizards at Indiana Pacers: The Wizards don't have much to play for given their playoff circumstances, but the Pacers have everything to play for. That situation alone is enough for me to stay away from Wizards not named John Wall here, even though it's difficult to completely rule one team out on such a short slate of games.
Offenses to Use
Toronto Raptors at Boston Celtics: The Raptors are still alive for the third seed in the East and are playing a less talented Boston squad that just clinched a playoff slot of their own. Of all the offenses going Tuesday, the Raptors are probably the one I feel the best about, and they could certainly profit off of one of the better matchups on the board.
First game of a back-to-back: Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards
Second game of a back-to-back: Los Angeles Clippers
DraftKings.com DAILY PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS
Point Guard
Chris Paul, PG, LAC ($9,700): The Clippers are still playing for playoff seeding, and Paul is one of the best players available in the pool Tuesday. Given the circumstances, and this being the last regular season game for the Clippers, Paul should be a fairly safe and productive play.
Other suggestions: John Wall (at IND), George Hill (vs. WAS)
Shooting Guard
DeMar DeRozan, SG, TOR ($8,100): Similar to Chris Paul, DeMar DeRozan is a player who can put up huge points for fantasy owners, and he should see plenty of playing time with his team still able to move up in the standings. His opponent, the Boston Celtics, are not one to be afraid of, and a wise strategy would be to load up on studs that are going to play their normal role on Tuesday.
Other suggestions: Eric Bledsoe (vs. LAC), Archie Goodwin (vs. LAC)
Small Forward
T.J. Warren, SF, PHX ($3,600): The small forward pool is dreadful on Tuesday, and if I am going with a flier, it's Warren. He's seeing at least 24 minutes over his last three games, and he's certainly got the potential to make value. The biggest plus with Warren is he allows you to fit more studs in your lineup on a night where they will likely be more crucial than ever.
Other suggestions: P.J. Tucker (vs. LAC), C.J. Miles (vs. WAS)
Power Forward
Patrick Patterson, PF, TOR ($4,000):Amir Johnson is banged up, and Tyler Hansbrough has been filling in for him as of late. While Hansbrough could be a good play if Johnson is still out, Patterson should be a solid option even if both of his teammates play on Tuesday. He's averaging 25 DraftKings points against Boston, which would be a nice value from him at this price.
Other suggestions: Tyler Hansbrough (at BOS), Blake Griffin (at PHX)
Center
DeAndre Jordan, C, LAC ($8,000): Another difficult position to pick on Tuesday, I am willing to spend my money on Jordan once again. He's still a monster and is far and away the best center on the board. The matchup with the Suns should be profitable as well, considering their issues on the interior.
Other suggestions: Roy Hibbert (vs. WAS)
