Monday brings our last two-game slate of the season. Let's try to take advantage of it by highlighting some players who could help put some extra cash in your pocket.
Pitcher
The Phillies return home with a 3-2 lead in the NLCS. They will have a distinct advantage with Aaron Nola ($44) on the mound. He was excellent in his first start of the series, recording seven strikeouts and allowing just three hits over six scoreless innings. Over his three playoff spots, he has given up just two runs over 18.2 innings. He had a least seven strikeouts in two of them. Look for him to have another strong outing at home.
Top Target
Talk about consistent production. Yordan Alvarez ($24) has posted at least two hits in each of the last five games. He has seven total multi-hit games during the Astros' playoff run, going a total of 17-for-39 with six home runs and two doubles. That puts him in a great spot against Max Scherzer ($34), who gave up five runs over four innings in Game 3.
Bargain Bat
Nathaniel Lowe ($9) might not have gaudy numbers in the playoffs, but he has been productive. He has recorded at least one hit in nine of 11 games, two of which were home runs. Left-handed hitters had a .350 wOBA against Cristian Javier ($34) during the regular season, so Lowe could provide value.
Stack to Consider
Phillies vs. Merrill Kelly ($41), Diamondbacks: Bryce Harper ($25), Trea Turner ($21), Kyle Schwarber ($19)
It's not ideal for the Diamondbacks to have Kelly on the mound on the road as they try to stave off elimination. He posted a 3.43 FIP and a 1.02 WHIP at home during the regular season, but he had a 4.31 FIP and a 1.38 WHIP on the road. When he pitched in Philadelphia in Game 2, he gave up four runs over 5.2 innings. A top option for any Phillies stack has to be Harper, who has a career 1.031 OPS in the playoffs.
