2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rodri only had a small sample after an ACL tear left him sidelined for nearly the entire campaign. He returned for the final few games and saw even more time during the Club World Cup, so the thought is that he'll be close to 100 percent for the start of 2025/26. If that's the case and he remains fit, he could hold his usual midfield role the majority of the season with 30-plus starts in play. At his peak a couple years ago, he was frequently involved in goals, totaling eight goals and nine assists. It's hard to see him being near those numbers this season, but as long as he's on the pitch, he'll have the ball near the top of the box and good things usually happen for City in those instances.
Building on fitness, still out
Rodri (hamstring) is looking sharper and training well but remains out for the time being, assistant coach Kolo Toure said in the press conference. "He's training well and his rehab is going well. He's looking sharper and sharper. For sure we won't see him for the weekend but he's going through the process."
ANALYSIS
Rodri is progressing well week by week in his rehabilitation of a hamstring injury but remains sidelined for the time being. The Spaniard has been training well and is looking sharper and sharper, suggesting he should return before the end of the year. Until then, Nico Gonzalez is seeing a greater role in the midfield for Manchester City.
