FORWARDS
Cristiano Ronaldo, RMD v. JUV (€27): Real Madrid have a commanding 3-0 aggregate lead, including three away goals, making it incredibly unlikely that Juventus come back and advance. That being said, I'm still not sleeping on a big Ronaldo performance given how dominant he's been, particularly in Champions League play. He had two goals on seven shots (three on target) and one assist in the first leg, and he extended his goal-scoring streak to 10 games with a goal against Atletico Madrid in La Liga play this past weekend. With 20 goals on 65 shots (36 on target) over that span, I'll be on Ronaldo continuing it this week to put the nails in the Juventus Champions League coffin.
Sergio Aguero, MCI v. LIV (€24): The second forward spot is a tough one, with Aguero and Robert Lewandowski (€25) both strong options. Aguero missed time recently due to injury but returned this past weekend in the Manchester derby for 14 minutes off the bench. He's averaging 4.98 shots, including 1.95 shots on goal, per 90 minutes in the Champions League, averages that aren't too far off his 4.30 and 1.92 marks, respectively, in the Premier League. Man City need to make up a three-goal deficit, and so there's little hesitation that Aguero will be attacking as much as possible. Lewandowski comes in with similar averages (4.77 shots, including 1.93 on goal, per 90 minutes during Champions League play, 5.10 and 2.21, respectively, in the Bundesliga), and he bagged a hat trick in each of his last two domestic starts. Again, they are both very strong, but Aguero is the only one who has to make up a big deficit. Bayern aren't easily through, though their 2-1 win at Sevilla in the first leg gives them a little leeway.
Edin Dzeko, RMA v. BCN (€21): Coming in a little cheaper than the other elite options is Dzeko, who has taken 23.56 percent of Roma's shots and scored 29.17 percent of their goals during Serie A play, figures that rise to 25.21 and 41.67 percent, respectively, during the Champions League. He was responsible for Roma's lone goal during their 4-1 loss at Barcelona in the first leg, and if they have any chance of making this tie competitive, they'll be relying on Dzeko to keep firing away.
MIDFIELDERS
Kevin De Bruyne, MCI v. LIV (€23): De Bruyne has admittedly been a pretty weak fantasy option of late, failing to take multiple shots in six consecutive appearances (five starts), picking up just one assist on 19 chances created during that span. However, with Manchester City needing to score four goals to advance (or three to tie and try to win it in extra time or on penalties), there's no denying the impact that De Bruyne could have on this game. If paying his salary is a bit too much, I wouldn't hesitate to save a little with David Silva (€20), who has two goals on 10 shots (three on goal) and three assists on 19 chances created in his last five games, including six chances created in the first leg that tied his season-high.
James Rodriguez, FCB v. SEV (€18): There are a number of solid attacking midfielders on the slate, like Arjen Robben (€20), Isco (€20), Toni Kroos (€19) and Leroy Sane (€19), but James has been too good and Bayern too big of favorites to fade him. He has two goals and four assists on seven chances created in his last three starts, and he's simply been a much more reliable option than Robben or Franck Ribery (€19), if we're focusing on the Bayern attackers. In fact, if you're looking for another reliable Bayern midfielder, I'd focus on Javi Martinez (€13), who plays as a defensive midfielder and could rack up the points if Sevilla come out attacking, as expected.
Casemiro, RMD v. JUV (€15):Casemiro is a destroyer in central midfield, and while his upside is somewhat limited, he should have plenty of work trying to shut down the Juventus attack. The Madrid midfield does offer more attacking options like Kroos and Isco, but if they're forced to sit back and defend the Juve onslaught, I'd rather have the guy whose first job is to squash that plan.
DEFENDERS
Aleksandar Kolarov, RMA v. BCN (€15): Forget about the clean sheet against Barcelona, but Kolarov is a vital piece of the Roma attack, one that needs to score in bunches at home to try and make this a close tie. Despite playing as a left-back, he fired off four shots in the opening match while adding two accurate crosses, stats that he'll have to eclipse if Roma have a chance.
Joshua Kimmich, FCB v. SEV (€15): If you prefer an attacking fullback from a -500 favorite instead of a +350 underdog, Kimmich fits the bill in place of Kolarov. Kimmich was quiet in the first leg, but he picked up an assist on two chances created and drew two fouls this past weekend against Augsburg, a match that saw Bayern clinch the Bundesliga title. His attacking upside isn't likely to be as high as Kolarov's without at least one assist, but he also plays for the team with the best clean sheet odds on the slate.
Marcelo, RMD v. JUV (€17): Continuing the train of attacking fullbacks, Marcelo was quiet for much of the first leg before scoring a goal in the 72nd minute, helping him to 17.00 fantasy points with the clean sheet. Juventus will be without Paulo Dybala, and while they'll be attacking as much as possible to try and advance, the clean sheet isn't out of the question for Real Madrid. With few midfielders worth paying up for, using the money in defense looks to be the optimal play.
GOALKEEPER
Sven Ulreich, FCB v. SEV (€15): Ulreich has only one clean sheet in his last five matches, but he comes in with the best win and shutout odds on the slate. Keylor Navas (€15) was my other consideration, but Real Madrid could lose 2-0 or 2-1 at home and still advance. On the other hand, Bayern have just a one-goal aggregate lead, and while they did get two goals in Spain, I'm expecting them to attack a decent amount where they should win comfortably at home and allow Ulreich to get back to double-digit fantasy points.
