ANALYSIS
Marcos managed to remain undefeated as a professional, but boy did he have to work for it. Both men had their moments in what was a back-and-forth fight. Marcos started quickly before Yanez regained the momentum in Round 2. To Daniel's credit, he recognized an opportunity and flipped the script with a pair of Round 3 takedowns to secure the win. While it's impossible to argue with the results thus far, we need to see Marcos matched up against some high-end competition before we can get a true read on his future long-term potential.

Said Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw from the bout due to unknown reasons, so Marcos will now face an opponent who boasts a 6-2 record in the UFC but has dropped two of his last three fights.

ANALYSIS
Marcos, who has yet to be defeated in his pro career, will face a formidable opponent in Said Nurmagomedov at UFC Tampa. The 31-year-old Peruvian fighter is 3-0-1 during his time in the UFC after most recently defeating John Castaneda by unanimous decision in June.

ANALYSIS
It was a brilliant effort from Marcos in a fight that went off as a pick 'em. The undefeated Marcos pressured Castaneda on the feet from the very start, firing off a ton of volume, in addition to scoring the biggest blow of the bout, a Round 3 knockdown. Marcos built a reputation as a powerful, explosive striker on the Peru regional scene prior to his company arrival, and that has carried over during his time with the UFC. Marocs is 3-0 (1NC) with the promotion, in addition to picking up a unanimous decision win in Dana White's Contender Series back in September 2022.

ANALYSIS
Marcos will look to put a recent string of bad luck unrelated to his fight results, including multiple bout cancellations and a no-contest with Aori Qileng. Still, Marcos is undefeated across MMA action, with UFC wins over Saimon Oliveira and Davey Grant.
