Barez will take on the younger Lima in March, looking to use his experience to challenge the undefeated Brazilian. Barez will head into the bout coming off a decision victory over Victor Altamirano. The 36-year-old Spaniard will look to use his stopping power to take down Lima, boasting an impressive 7-0 record in KO/TKO decisions. With three of his six professional losses coming via decision, Barez will likely be looking for an early finish against the 25-year-old.

It was made all the more impressive by the fact he was coming off a first-round submission defeat to Jafel Filho in his UFC debut about 14 months ago. Barez landed a Round 1 knockdown and connected on the more damaging blows most of the bout. The concern here is that he faded in a major way the second half of the fight, nearly allowing Altamirano -- who is going through his own issues at the moment -- to steal the win. Barez's next challenge will be to put forth a strong 15-minute performance.
