Fighting Barez in March
Lima will take on Daniel Barez at a UFC event in Las Vegas on March 15, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Lima will put his undefeated professional record on the line against the older Barez as he looks to earn his fourth UFC victory. He will head into the fight coming off a pair of back-to-back decision victories over Felipe dos Santos and Mitch Raposo, respectively, after beginning his UFC career with a disqualification win over Igor Severino. The 25-year-old Brazilian will hope to use a slight height and reach advantage to overcome the experience of Barez. Lima will have to be weary of the stopping power of Barez, with the Spaniard boasting an impressive 7-0 record in KO/TKO finishes.

Remains perfect in UFC
Lima defeated Felipe dos Santos via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's very rare you see a clear cut unanimous decision in which the victor finds himself on the short end of a 69-43 disadvantage in terms of total strikes landed, but that's what we got in this one. Struggling with the stand-up game of dos Santos early on, Lima went to his wrestling and completely changed the tide of the fight. He landed just one takedown in each of the final two frames, but each of those successful attempts resulted in north of four minutes worth of control time in each instance. That, combined with dos Santos badly gassing out, led to Lima picking up his third UFC victory in as many tries.

Back in competition quickly
Lima is scheduled to compete against Felipe dos Santos at UFC Vegas 97 on Sept. 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Lima will have fought his next opponent in just a little over three months' time since he last fought, which was a split-decision win over Mitch Raposo. Ideally for everyone involved, Lima will not miss weight (by four pounds) like he did for the Raposo fight.

Wins mystifying split decision
Lima defeated Mitch Raposo via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-27) at UFC 302 on Saturday in Newark.
ANALYSIS
It's never a good sign when the scorecards are the focus of the fight, but this was an easy night at the office for Lima, who chewed his opponent up with leg kicks and stuck a jab in his face when he tried to close distance. Raposo is a sharp boxer with fast hands who can wrestle when needed, but it looked as though he wasn't quite ready for the big stage. While not the most spectacular win, Lima does keep his undefeated steak, improving to 8-0 in professional MMA as a result of the victory.

Misses weight by four pounds
Lima missed the flyweight by four pounds for his fight against Mitch Raposo at UFC 302 on June 1, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite missing weight, the fight is still scheduled to go ahead, but Lima will forfeit 30 percent of his purse. Lima will look to extend his undefeated record to nine against Raposo.
