Analyzing NHL Pick'Em Plays with Top Player Prop Value

Nikolaj Ehlers Over 0.5 Goals at Minnesota Wild - 9:30 p.m. ET

After a slow start to the year in which he went 11 games without a goal, Ehlers has seemingly found his stride with goals in four of his last eight outings -- including scoring against the Wild on Nov. 6. In the crease, Minnesota will be deploying Jesper Wallstedt, who is coming off back-to-back shutouts, but all good things must eventually come to an end. Look for Ehlers to stay hot in this one, even on the road.

Morgan Geekie Over 2.5 Shots at Anaheim Ducks - 10:00 p.m. ET

Geekie has reached the three-shot threshold in all but one of his last seven contests and found the back of the net twice when these teams faced off back in late October. Few players have been a bigger surprise this year than Geekie, who is finding his stride offensively and is on pace to reach the 40-goal mark. I'd consider taking the goal prop here, but for now I'll stick with the shots total.

Marat Khusnutdinov Over 0.5 Points at Anaheim Ducks - 10:00 p.m. ET

With Elias Lindholm having missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury, it's been Khusnutdinov who has stepped up to the first-line role. He has four points over that stretch, which is admittedly a little low considering the numbers being put up by Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnak. He's also seeing top power-play minutes with this duo, so it's almost hard to imagine he doesn't get at least a point most nights.
