SLATE PREVIEW
It's a much smaller slate for Tuesday with five games, with four games at 7 p.m. EDT and then the second half of a back-to-back with the Oilers at Canucks (10 p.m.) Revenge games are on the menu for both the Penguins and the Islanders, who lost games they should've won against the Flyers and the Sabres, respectively.
GOALIES
Petr Mrazek, CAR vs. CHI ($8,400): Mrazek dressed as the backup on Monday so that gives me reason to think he's ready to start. The young Blackhawks defense had no answer for the Hurricanes' offense, so even if Mrazek isn't particularly sharp in his first start since returning from injury, he should get enough goal support to secure the W.
Ilya Sorokin, BUF vs. NYI ($8,200): Sorokin hasn't come exactly as advertised though he's been pretty good with a .918 Sv% on the season. Asides from allowing six goals against the Capitals, he kept his opponents to two goals or fewer in six of his past seven games. The Islanders built an early lead but uncharacteristically couldn't close out the game; they should be much better this time around.
Mike Smith, EDM at VAN ($8,000): The Canucks have no answer for Connor McDavid, and whatever offense they could muster didn't look particularly dangerous. Mikko Koskinen faced just 23 shots, and it should be another light workload for Smith.
Jeremy Swayman, BOS at NJ ($7,800): Swayman will be a popular pick and a very strong value play after the Bruins snapped their losing streak against the Devils and completely dominated the game. They outshot the Devils 42-20 and Tuesday's game will likely follow a similar script.
VALUE PLAYS
Nick Ritchie, BOS at NJ ($3,600): Ritchie scored a goal in his second straight game against the Devils and has now tied his career-high of 14 goals. His presence on the top power play provides some added value.
Oliver Wahlstrom, NYI at BUF ($3,100): Wahlstrom's a streaky scorer and a goal Monday gave him two in three games. The Sabres haven't announced who will be in net, but note they started a 28-year-old rookie in Michael Houser on Monday and had a goalie – Stefanos Lekkas – on a tryout contract backing him up.
LINE STACKS
Bruins at Devils
Patrice Bergeron (C - $7,300), Brad Marchand (W - $7,800), David Pastrnak (W - $7,600)
Marchand and Bergeron were both dominant against the Devils, and it's a relatively inexpensive line stack for a very favorable matchup.
Penguins at Flyers
Sidney Crosby (C - $8,100), Jake Guentzel (W - $7,400), Bryan Rust (W - $6,400)
If there's anything we learned about Crosby, is that he rarely has two bad games in a row. Despite scoring on the power play, Crosby and his wingers were a combined minus-12 on the night. The Flyers are usually a team he dominates so the bet is on Crosby to get back on track with their No. 1 goalie back in net.
Hurricanes at Blackhawks
Sebastian Aho (C - $7,900), Teuvo Teravainen (W - $5,600), Andrei Svechnikov (W - $5,900)
Aho's hat trick extended his point streak to eight games, and it's another good line stack in a favorable matchup. Teravainen and Svechnikov aren't far behind the other wingers on this list in terms of point production, but come at a slight discount in their salaries to keep the cost of this line stack lower.
Oilers at Canucks
Connor McDavid (C - $9,300), Leon Draisaitl (W - $8,300), Kailer Yamamoto (W - $3,800)
91 points in 50 games! There's nothing more Canadian than helping each other out, so the Canucks are probably doing their best to help McDavid reach 100 so they could be part of the history books, too, considering the only times the Canucks are mentioned are when they lose…
DEFENSEMEN
Dougie Hamilton, CAR vs. CHI ($6,700): After a three-game drought, Hamilton was back on the scoresheet again, and in just 20 minutes of play against the Hawks scored a goal and an assist on four shots. He's a DFS beast and rightfully belongs at the top of the list.
Tyson Barrie, EDM at VAN ($6,400): I can only say how good McDavid is and how bad the Canucks defense is so many different ways.
Matt Grzelcyk, BOS at NJ ($4,000): The Bruins power play hasn't been particularly impressive this season but it's definitely serviceable against a bad defensive team like the Devils. Grzelcyk's on a two-game point streak with 11 shots on goal in his past three games.
