Tournament Preview

The European Tour returns to Royal Golf Dar Es Salam for the third year in a row, for Trophee Hassan II. The lengthy tree lined course with water and bunkers throughout has been recently widened and had its greens enlarged. This week's venue will test all aspects of the golfer's game. The past two years results have shown that precision and length will be key to claiming the bejeweled dagger trophy. Recent form will once again weigh heavily in driving the picks.

DraftKings Picks (with odds)

Paul Dunne, $11,900 - (12/1)

At the very top is Dunne, who seems nearly impossible to pass up. He has been on a tear his last three tournaments. He was solo 2nd last week in Spain, where he let the lead slip away at the end. Prior to that he finished T8 at Houston Open and T5 at Corales Puntacana. Dunne lost in a playoff last year at Trophee Hassan II, so he will have redemption will be on his mind. Paul also notched a T16 on this course in 2016.

Jorge Campillo, $9,100 - (28/1)

Campillo has been very close the last few weeks, and it appears his moment is right around the corner. He has finished among the top five in three of his last four starts. Campillo is ranked 23rd on tour in greens in regulation, hitting over 74 percent. He is also long off the tee, averaging almost 308 yards. Campillo finished T19 last year at Trophee Hassan II, and look for him to improve on that with his solid form this year.

Aaron Rai, $8,600 - (33/1)

Rai arrives in Morocco flashing some nice form over the past couple starts. He finished T12 last week at Open de Espana, with two rounds in the mid sixties. Rai was T9 at Hero Indian Open before that. Rai's first time at Trophee Hassan last year went well with a T34. He is a bit shorter off the tee, but makes up for that with extreme accuracy: Rai is ranked 8th on tour in driving accuracy. His iron play is solid as well, ranking 34th in greens in regulation.

Haydn Porteous, $6,700 - (70/1)

Looking at the bottom of the price tier, Porteous sticks out. If you need to go this low in creating lineups he may be worth giving a shot. His last event was the Tshwane Open at the beginning of March, where he finished T48. However, he had the same schedule last year and arrived in Morocco after an extended break and finished T13. He is a bomber that can spray it a bit, but is ranked 90th in SG:Tee to green. He is a great value at this price given his odds.
