2025 Fantasy Outlook
Baun was one of the breakout stars on the defensive side of the ball in 2024. He won a role in the middle of the Eagles' defense to begin the season and more than tripled his previous career high in defensive snaps before going on to deliver 151 total tackles. While a fifth-year breakout will rightly be met with skepticism, several factors suggest Baun is around to stay. First, 2024 was Baun's first in Philadelphia, and he immediately earned a 100 percent defensive snap share. The team then signaled it believed in Baun by signing him to a three-year, $51 million extension this spring. In terms of production, Baun was elite in coverage and stuffing the run. His one shortcoming was an 11.1 missed tackle rate (per PFF), and the addition of Jihad Campbell could take away some snaps and hurt Baun's tackle volume. However, there are too many positive signs to ding his outlook considerably. Read Past Outlooks

Baun also notched his first sack of the season, with his takedown of Baker Mayfield late in the first quarter resulting in a 12-yard loss and a Chase McLaughlin 42-yard field goal one play later. Baun has logged at least six tackles in each of the first four games of the season and has 30 tackles (19 solo), including 1.0 sacks, three pass defenses (one interception) and one forced fumble to start the 2025 campaign.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Unlikely to return to Philly
Baun seems likely to sign elsewhere in free agency this offseason, as the Eagles may not have the cap room to retain him, Dan Graziano of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The fifth-year linebacker had a career year after signing a modest one-year, $3.5 million contract with Philadelphia last offseason, erupting for 151 tackles including 3.5 sacks, both career highs, in 16 regular-season games before adding 26 more tackles in three playoff games on the Eagles' road to the Super Bowl. Baun's next contract figures to be substantially larger, with a $15 million AAV on a multi-year deal not out of the question for the 28-year-old, which would land him in the top five at his position.
