Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Smith didn't have a major role as a rookie after being drafted 30th overall in 2023, but he stepped up in his second season to start 10 games. He finished second on the Eagles with 6.5 sacks (plus four more in the playoffs) and eighth on the team with 42 tackles. He tore his triceps during the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX win and underwent surgery, but he's recovered and lines up to be one of the team's top edge rushers again in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Notches first sack in return
Smith posted two tackles (both solo), including 1.0 sacks, in a 10-7 win over the Packers on Monday Night Football.
ANALYSIS
The Packers had driven past the Eagles' 30-yard line late in the second quarter when Smith halted their momentum with a sack of Jordan Love. One play later, Love was sacked again (this time by Nakobe Dean) and turned the ball over on a fumble. Smith logged just a 28 percent defensive snap share, as he was coming off a five-game absence due to a triceps injury.

Smith looked like a potential top-10 pick in the 2023 Draft but fell all the way to pick No. 30, where the Eagles snapped him up to join their group of young Georgia defenders. His 4.39 speed is his calling card, but it does come with small size, as he checks in at 6-2, 238 pounds. Smith didn't post elite sack numbers in college, topping out at 4.5 as a junior, and his unique profile makes him hard to project. That said, he has the makings of an NFL edge rusher and will have a great example to learn from in teammate Haason Reddick.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
To miss several weeks
Smith suffered a strained triceps in a Week 3 win over the Rams and was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Adam Schefter and Tim McManus of ESPN report.
ANALYSIS
The earliest Smith will be eligible to return is for a Week 10 Monday night matchup against the Packers. The third-year linebacker, who posted 6.5 sacks, 11 total quarterback hits and eight total tackles for loss during the 2024 regular season, had yet to record a sack through three games this season. However, his eight quarterback pressures ranked second on the Eagles behind Jalyx Hunt.
