2025 Fantasy Outlook
Royals faces a difficult path to immediate playing time in Kansas City as a late-fourth-round pick, joining an offense that uses a lot of multi-TE formations and already has Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Marquise Brown at wide receiver. That doesn't mean Royals should be completely ignored in redraft leagues, given Rice's six-game suspension and Brown's poor durability. Royals was oft-discussed as a Day 2 pick before the draft, having run a 4.42 40 at the 2025 Combine at 6-foot, 205 pounds, after catching 126 passes for 1,914 yards and 21 TDs in 20 games over the past two seasons for Utah State. NFL teams may have been skeptical because of his limited route tree and mediocre competition in the Mountain West Conference, but you won't find many Day 3 picks with a better combination of production, size and speed, not to mention the boost to Royals' long-term outlook upon joining an offense led by coach Andy Reid and QB Patrick Mahomes. RANKS
Sees first pro action in Week 4
Royals accrued zero targets during Sunday's 37-20 win against the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Royals didn't accumulate any snaps in any of the first three weeks, but the Chiefs took hold of a sizable lead against the Ravens, enough so that in the second half, the bench players got into the mix. Royals remains buried on the depth chart at this juncture, and there's little reason to anticipate that changing, especially with Rashee Rice's six-game suspension expiring prior to the Week 7 clash with the Raiders.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Heavy use if cleared to debut?
Royals is questionable to play against the Giants on Sunday due to a knee injury, but if he's cleared to play, the rookie fourth-rounder could see an expanded role on offense due to the absence of Xavier Worthy, per ESPN.
ANALYSIS
Royals missed the first two games of the regular season due to knee tendinitis that popped up in mid-August. He logged two consecutive full practices to end the week and has a chance to make his NFL regular-season debut Sunday. Royals led the FBS with 10 catches of 50-plus yards over the final two seasons of his collegiate career at Utah State, and that big-play ability is something Patrick Mahomes could look to exploit out of a Giants defense that yielded 361 passing yards and 40 points in a Week 2 overtime loss to the Cowboys.
