Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hutchinson is entering his third year since being a Day 3 selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. He saw more time on the field and targets in his second NFL season, but there were too many playmakers ahead of him. Hutchinson's greatest contributions were as a blocker and a special-teams regular. Houston lost two significant wideouts from the 2024 team - Stefon Diggs to free agency and Tank Dell to injury - but they restocked in a big way with Christian Kirk, Braxton Berrios and two receivers, drafted in the second and third round. Hutchinson's path to a roster spot cleared up significantly when the Texans traded John Metchie to Philadelphia. And his path to playing time Week 1 improved, as both Kirk and Berrios are ruled out with hamstring injuries. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Stable output in win
Hutchinson caught two of three targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 26-0 win over the Titans in Week 4.
ANALYSIS
Hutchinson's production remained stable for a fourth week; he's logged two or three targets while catching two or three passes in all four games. That small but steady volume hasn't led to much production however, as he has yet to top 30 yards in 2025. He never gained more than 31 yards in a game during the regular season in 2024 either, and rookie Jayden Higgins appears close to surpassing him on the depth chart.

2024
2023
Hutchinson began to see regular targets beginning in Week 14 as a rookie. The receiver was pressed into a bigger role when the Texans were dealing with wide receiver injuries. Despite averaging three targets per game, he averaged 1.2 receptions for 9.4 yards. Hutchinson didn't show great chemistry with C.J. Stroud, which could hurt his chances at seeing a prominent role in 2024. With the top-three wide receiver roles being held by high-level players, Hutchinson may struggle to see playing time unless teammates miss time.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be WR3 sans Woods
Hutchinson would be in line to serve as the Texans' No. 3 wideout for Saturday's AFC divisional-round game against the Chiefs if Robert Woods is unable to play due to a hip injury.
ANALYSIS
Woods has not participated in practice all week due to a hip injury that he likely picked up during the Texans' wild-card win over the Chargers. That could just be out of precaution to ensure the veteran wide receiver doesn't aggravate the injury, but Hutchinson should see an uptick in playing time if Woods is ruled out or operates on a snap count. Hutchinson played 26 offensive snaps in Houston's wild-card win and hauled in his lone target for 34 yards.
