Jaylin Noel

22-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Houston took Noel in the third round, 79th overall, after drafting Iowa State teammate Jayden Higgins with the 36th overall pick. Both are promising prospects coming off 1,000-yard seasons and strong combine workouts, but they'll have to fight for playing time in an offense that already has veteran wideouts Nico Collins and Christian Kirk. At 5-foot-10, 194 pounds, Noel may look the part of a slot receiver, but he's more than athletic enough to get a shot on the perimeter, having posted a 4.39 40, 41.5-inch vertical and 134-inch broad jump at the combine. He's a bit older than average for a rookie, turning 23 in September, but it's not a huge concern given that he was a four-year contributor in college who improved his numbers in every major receiving category (including yards per catch) with each passing year. Houston's solid depth at wide receiver makes Noel more interesting for dynasty leagues than he is for redraft, but he's at least someone to keep in mind in case Collins or Kirk misses significant time. Snags two passes Saturday

Noel caught both his targets for 16 yards in Saturday's 20-10 preseason loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
The 2025 third-round pick slightly out-performed fellow rookie Jayden Higgins, although both young wideouts were overshadowed by veterans John Metchie (5-45-0 on eight targets) and Braxton Berrios (3-33-1 on three targets). Nico Collins and Christian Kirk should be C.J. Stroud's top two options when the regular season begins, but Higgins and Noel could be locked in a battle for the No. 3 spot straight through training camp and the preseason. Tank Dell (knee) currently has no timetable for a return.

Arizona-bound in Reuter's mock
WRFree Agent
March 23, 2025
Sunday's mock draft 2.0 from Chad Reuter of NFL.com has Noel going to the Cardinals with the 47th overall pick.
ANALYSIS
Noel has consistently generated second-round buzz in mock drafts. He cemented his status as an intriguing wide receiver prospect with a strong showing at the NFL Scouting Combine, where Noel led all wide receivers with a broad jump of 11-foot-2 while tying for the top vertical jump at the position with 41.5 inches. If the Iowa State product lands in Arizona, he could earn a starting job out of the gate across from 2024 first-round pick Marvin Harrison.
