2024 Fantasy Outlook
Selected by the Ravens in the 2022 NFL Draft, Badie eventually signed with the Broncos to join their practice squad in December of his rookie campaign. Since then, the 24-year-old running back has spent much of his career as a member of Denver's practice squad, appearing in just one game in 2022 after joining the team. The Broncos signed Badie to a reserve/future contract in January, giving him the opportunity to compete for a roster spot during training camp. The 5-foot-8, 197-pounder faces an uphill battle, as Denver's currently have a crowded running back room featuring Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine, Jaleel McLaughlin and rookie Audric Estime. Badie (back) won't play Sunday against the Raiders, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Badie's absence isn't surprising considering coach Sean Payton said Wednesday that an IR stint could be on the table for the running back. Badie hasn't practiced since hurting his back in the first half of Denver's Week 4 win over the Jets. His next chance to suit up will be Week 6 against the Chargers.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Badie is an interesting long-term prospect, but his 2022 outlook is murky at best. While J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards are both coming off season-ending knee injuries, they are expected to be ready when toe meets leather in September. If either is not fully ready, Mike Davis was signed to be the insurance policy behind that dynamic duo. Looking ahead, Badie has a unique skill set. Though small at 5-8, he's densely built for that size at 197 pounds and he put down a 4.45 in the 40 at the combine to go with a 121-inch broad jump. He handled a workhorse volume in his senior year at Missouri with 268 carries for an SEC-leading 1,604 yards to go with 14 touchdowns. Badie is a seasoned pass-catcher, too, having caught 126 of 180 targets for 1,149 yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons as a Tiger. Badie could be an interesting addition to Baltimore's backfield mix once it becomes less crowded.

Turning heads at Senior Bowl
RBFree Agent
February 5, 2022
Draft analyst Lance Zierlein of NFL.com said Badie has emerged as a top performer at this year's Senior Bowl scrimmages and compared his play to that of Michael Carter in last year's annual event.
ANALYSIS
Badie's impressive play at the Senior Bowl may help improve his draft stock similar to that of Carter as well. According to Zierlein, the small-bodied running back displayed "vision and quick-cut ability to knife through interior holes." The Missouri product was also very effective as a pass blocker, which could further aid to improve his stock heading into April's draft.
