RJ Harvey

24-Year-Old Running BackRB
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Harvey originally was recruited to Virginia to play quarterback, but at 5-foot-8, 205 pounds, that would have been a disorienting sight. He found his true calling upon transferring to UCF, where he moved to running back and caught fire. After an initial redshirt season, Harvey went nuts the next three years, turning 576 carries into 3,789 yards (6.6 YPC) and 43 touchdowns in 38 games. Harvey was also lethal as a receiver, turning 79 targets into 61 receptions for 720 yards and five touchdowns (77.2 percent catch rate, 9.1 YPT). While he might look small at a glance, Harvey is densely built for his height, with a low center of gravity that makes him difficult to tackle. He thrived as a workhorse the last two years, and he may quickly emerge as a starter for the Broncos after they drafted him in the second round, 60th overall, this spring. His prospects took a bit of a hit when the Broncos signed J.K. Dobbins in June, but the team doesn't have much else in the backfield, returning Audric Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin. Perhaps Harvey was a surprising second-round pick, but no one should be surprised if he takes over the Denver offense in 2025. Read Past Outlooks

Little with six touches Thursday
RBDenver Broncos
November 6, 2025
Harvey rushed four times for nine yards and brought in two of three targets for nine yards in the Broncos' 10-7 win over the Raiders on Thursday night. He also returned two kickoffs for 35 yards.
ANALYSIS
Harvey's veteran backfield mate J.K. Dobbins appeared to be examined by trainers on the sideline at one point, but the rookie still logged very modest action from scrimmage. After breaking out with a 7-46-2 rushing line in Week 8 against the Cowboys, Harvey has logged only six combined carries for 15 yards over the subsequent pair of contests, although he did tally five receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown in the Week 9 win over the Texans. Nevertheless, Dobbins remains the unquestioned lead back as long as he's healthy, meaning Harvey is likely to remain in a clear complementary role for a Week 11 home showdown against the Chiefs on Sunday, Nov. 16.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely headed for expanded role
RBDenver Broncos
November 11, 2025
Harvey would be in line for additional touches if J.K. Dobbins is sidelined by a foot injury, Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Dobbins is awaiting the results on a second opinion for the foot injury that he suffered in Thursday's win over the Raiders. He could even be placed on injured reserve, which would put Harvey at the top of the depth chart for at least the next four games. The fact that the team is even considering IR for Dobbins suggests he's likely to miss a pivotal Week 11 matchup against Kansas City. Harvey has had a nose for the end zone to begin his career, scoring six TDs in 10 games, but he's had double-digit touches in a game only once.
