2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bourne, who suffered a torn right ACL in Week 8 of the 2023 season, began the 2024 campaign on the PUP list before being activated ahead of Week 5 action. Upon his return to the mix, the 29-year-old finished tallied 28 catches (on 38 targets) for 305 yards and a TD in 12 contests. Bourne is under contract with New the Patriots through 2026, but his role in the team's revamped wideout corps, with all of Kyle Williams, Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte, Ja'Lynn Polk, Javon Baker and Efton Chism also competing for targets that don't go to Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas. RANKS
Non-factor in Saturday's loss
Bourne failed to catch his only target in Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
WR Ricky Pearsall (knee/ankle) was back on the sidelines for Week 18, but it was Demarcus Robinson (3-24-0) who filled in for the oft-injured starter this time around. Bourne had been elevated ahead of Robinson in similar scenarios earlier this season, but head coach Kyle Shanahan shuffled his veteran backups in the receiver pecking order Saturday. This development, coupled with the potential for Pearsall to return for the wild-card round, severely limits Bourne's upside for the start of the playoffs.

Bourne re-signed with New England as a free agent this spring, deciding to stick around under a new coaching staff. During his seven-year career, Bourne played his best football with the Patriots over the last three season. In 2021, he had 925 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns. After a down year in 2022, Bourne came back strong last season with 406 yards and four touchdowns before suffering an ACL tear in Week 8. He'll now focus on rehab ahead of his age-29 season, hoping to regain a starting spot in a WR group that added veteran K.J. Osborn and rookies Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker this offseason. The Patriots still lack a clear top target, but their WR depth looks a bit better than in Bourne's previous seasons, potentially leaving him with less volume even if he makes it back for Week 1 and claims a top-three role in an offense that will have either Drake Maye or Jacoby Brissett under center.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
May play without Pearsall
Bourne may have an opportunity for additional snaps and targets in Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Eagles due to Ricky Pearsall's potential absence with knee and ankle injuries, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran couldn't capitalize on Pearsall's Week 18 absence against the Seahawks, as Bourne failed to bring in his only target across 22 snaps. However, given the stakes at play versus Philadelphia, an absence on the part of Pearsall could certainly lead to more opportunity for Bourne, who memorably turned in back-to-back 142-yard efforts in Weeks 5 and 6 when Pearsall was also sidelined by his PCL injury.
