2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bourne, who suffered a torn right ACL in Week 8 of the 2023 season, began the 2024 campaign on the PUP list before being activated ahead of Week 5 action. Upon his return to the mix, the 29-year-old finished tallied 28 catches (on 38 targets) for 305 yards and a TD in 12 contests. Bourne is under contract with New the Patriots through 2026, but his role in the team's revamped wideout corps, with all of Kyle Williams, Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte, Ja'Lynn Polk, Javon Baker and Efton Chism also competing for targets that don't go to Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas. RANKS
First target since Week 10
Bourne was held without a catch (one target) in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Bourne was targeted for the first time since Week 10 in Sunday's road victory, but he failed to haul in his only opportunity across 23 snaps played on offense (34 percent). The veteran wideout has been relegated to No. 4 on the depth chart ever since Ricky Pearsall returned from a knee injury Week 11. Bourne should remain a fantasy afterthought when the 49ers return from the upcoming bye week to face the Titans on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Bourne re-signed with New England as a free agent this spring, deciding to stick around under a new coaching staff. During his seven-year career, Bourne played his best football with the Patriots over the last three season. In 2021, he had 925 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns. After a down year in 2022, Bourne came back strong last season with 406 yards and four touchdowns before suffering an ACL tear in Week 8. He'll now focus on rehab ahead of his age-29 season, hoping to regain a starting spot in a WR group that added veteran K.J. Osborn and rookies Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker this offseason. The Patriots still lack a clear top target, but their WR depth looks a bit better than in Bourne's previous seasons, potentially leaving him with less volume even if he makes it back for Week 1 and claims a top-three role in an offense that will have either Drake Maye or Jacoby Brissett under center.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Will continue starting Sunday
Bourne is set to operate as the No. 2 receiver again in Sunday night's game against the Falcons due to Ricky Pearsall being ruled out because of his knee injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bourne has made quite the statement with back-to-back 142-yard tallies over the last two games. The veteran has typically been much more of a complementary presence on the offenses he's played on, but his recent efforts have offered a glimpse of upside he hadn't previously demonstrated. Bourne may see a dent in his target volume versus Atlanta, however, as George Kittle will return from a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury.
