Parker Washington

22-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Washington had one strong game as a rookie. In Week 13, Christian Kirk was injured after one snap. That led to Washington taking over the slot role. Facing the Bengals, the rookie caught six passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. With Kirk remaining sidelined, Washington played regular snaps in the last five games. During that time, the receiver averaged 14 yards per game with one performance over 19 yards. Unless the Jaguars suffer injuries to their receiver group, Washington may struggle to see consistent snaps. Read Past Outlooks

Parker has been impressive this spring and is well on his way to earning a roster spot, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2023 sixth-round pick didn't play much through the first three months of his rookie year but then got a look as the No. 3 receiver after Christian Kirk suffered a season-ending injury. Washington played at least 25 snaps in each of Jacksonville's final six games, catching 16 of 21 targets for 132 yards and two touchdowns in that stretch. He'll likely enter the upcoming season somewhere between third and fifth on the depth chart at wide receiver, with his initial role partially depending on the development of rookie first-round pick Brian Thomas. Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Washington has "had a really good offseason" so far.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Washington was selected by Jacksonville during the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft after a three-year collegiate career at Penn State, where he totaled 146 receptions for 1,920 yards and 12 touchdowns across 32 games. The Jaguars are likely to open the season with Christian Kirk, Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones as their three top receivers, and Washington could secure the No. 4 spot on the depth chart with a strong showing during training camp. Jamal Agnew, who primarily works as a returner, is likely to be his main competition for that job.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Taking step forward in Year 2
WRJacksonville Jaguars
June 24, 2024
Washington has been more confident this offseason and has impressed Jaguars offensive coordinator Press Taylor, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
A sixth-round pick in 2023, Washington was thrust into a significant role ahead of schedule in the second half last year when Christian Kirk got hurt, and he predictably struggled with his consistency. Jacksonville's coordinator believes that experience is serving him well, however. "[He's] not worried every time he breaks the huddle about what I'm doing, where is my stance, how does this route change?" Taylor said. "He's heard it a hundred times. So we give a playcall, we give a route, we move him around. He knows the expectations of that particular player in that particular concept and so now you just see the skill set start to come out." Even if Washington does take a step forward in his second NFL season, targets could be tough to come by. In addition to Kirk being healthy, the Jags signed Gabe Davis in free agency this offseason before selecting Brian Thomas 23rd overall in the 2024 Draft.
