2024 Fantasy Outlook
Douglas was one of the few bright spots on a broken Patriots offense in 2023, drawing at least five targets in every game he played from Week 7 on. He had seven games with at least 40 yards out of the 14 he played. though he topped 55 yards just twice (84, 74), mostly settling for short gains and failing to score even a single TD. Douglas played both inside and outside as a rookie last year, but at 5-8, 192, he's probably a better fit in the slot long term. As much as he looks like a gem of a sixth-round pick, his considerable role in 2023 was at least partially a product of the Patriots lacking other options. They're hoping 2024 second-round pick Ja'Lynn Polk and fourth-rounder Javon Baker can take care of that, and they also brought in former Vikings No. 3 receiver K.J. Osborn and re-signed Kendrick Bourne (who is rehabbing an ACL tear). Competition for roles should be wide open under the new coaching staff, with Douglas a candidate to land anywhere between first and fifth on the depth chart. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Three catches versus 49ers
Douglas was one the field for 38 of a possible 64 snaps on offense in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the 49ers, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After catching seven of nine targets for 69 yards and gaining nine rushing yards on one carry versus the Jets in Week 3, Douglas was held to three catches on as many targets for 13 yards Sunday. For now, he remains a hit-or-miss fantasy option while working in an inconsistent New England offense, but if things pick up for the team's passing game in the coming weeks, the 2023 sixth-rounder should remain involved enough to carve out some PPR utility.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Douglas was the second of two wide receivers selected by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, so the Liberty product isn't a lock to make the team's initial roster. If he does stick, the 5-8, 170-pounder has the quickness to potentially emerge as a slot option for the team, as well as contribute as a returner. For now, though, Douglas is clearly behind JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, Tyquan Thornton and Kendrick Bourne on the depth chart and also has to jostle for slotting with fellow rookie Kayshon Boutte.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Frustrated with role
Douglas is frustrated due to his lack of targets through two games, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Douglas had a relatively productive rookie season, particularly in the latter half of the campaign, when he topped 50 receiving yards three times in the final seven games. So far in 2024, he's earned only three targets with two catches for 12 yards across two contests. Following Sunday's overtime loss to the Seahawks, Douglas noted that he's still getting open but is not getting delivered targets. The Patriots are likely to run a conservative offense, so Douglas may find it difficult to consistently post quality stats.
