2024 Fantasy Outlook
Deguara never lived up to his pedigree as a 2020 third-round pick for the Packers, and he'll continue his career with the Jaguars in 2024. The 27-year-old had minor involvement in the passing game during the 2023 season with eight catches for 65 yards, and that's unlikely to change this season with Evan Engram entrenched as Jacksonville's starting tight end. Deguara will be competing with Brenton Strange and Luke Farrell for backup slotting. Read Past Outlooks
Seeing minimal playing time
Deguara was on the field for three of the Jaguars' 61 snaps on offense and didn't draw a target in Sunday's 32-16 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Deguara has suited up in each of Jacksonville's last five games and has been limited to two receptions for 10 yards on two targets. He's played no more than 10 snaps on offense in either of those contests, but his involvement on the Jaguars' special-teams units could be enough for Jacksonville to keep him active on game days moving forward.

2023
2022
2020
A third-round pick in the 2020 Draft, Deguara is entering his fourth season with the Packers. After making only two appearances as a rookie due to injuries, he suited up for all but one contest over the last two years. However, he racked up more than 40 yards in a game just three times. Deguara will have a prime opportunity to make a mark in 2023, as no tight end on the roster has more career receptions (39). With the Packers drafting tight ends in both the second (Luke Musgrave) and third rounds (Tucker Kraft) of this year's draft, though, there isn't a lack of competition.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Headed for No. 1 tight end duties?
Deguara currently sits atop the Packers tight end depth chart with Robert Tonyan having agreed to a one-year deal with the Bears on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Tonyan is now officially out of Deguara's path to the top job, while 18-year veteran Marcedes Lewis isn't expected back. That leaves Deguara at the top of the depth chart at this point in the offseason, although there could naturally be competition brought in via the draft or free agency. A 2020 third-round pick who recorded 77 receptions for 972 yards and 12 touchdowns over his last two college seasons at Cincinnati, Deguara appeared to be on the way to similar production with Green Bay when he generated a 25-245-2 line over 16 games in 2021. However, the 26-year-old took a step back last season, posting 13 grabs for 114 yards across 17 games while logging only 15 targets overall.
