2025 Fantasy Outlook
Reed isn't especially fast for a smaller wide receiver, having run a 4.45 40 at 5-foot-11, 187 pounds, but that hasn't stopped him from frequently making big plays out of the slot ever since Green Bay took him in the second round of the 2023 Draft. His combination of big receiving plays and semi-regular carries (31-282-3 career rushing line) seems promising for fantasy, but Reed's target volume took a step back rather than forward between Years 1 and 2, in part because he continued coming off the field for two-wide formations. His two best games last season both occurred within the first four weeks, but he never got more than six targets in any game thereafter. His 11.4 YPT ranked third among qualified WRs, but he drew 19 fewer targets than he had as a rookie, with his target rate dropping from 23.1 percent of routes all the way down to 16.8 percent. Reed's impressive per-target efficiency and frequent TDs suggest he deserves more chances, and quite possibly more playing time in two-wide sets, with few players offering a better mix of route-running and after-the-catch skills. On the other hand, there's no guarantee of further development (he turned 25 in April), and Reed will again be playing with the same coach and quarterback that failed to give him big-time volume the past two years, only now facing the additional challenge of an incoming first-round pick (WR Matthew Golden) adding competition for snaps and targets. Taking part in OTAs
Reed (shoulder) is participating in on-field positional drills at OTAs on Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed appears back to full health after having suffered a dislocated shoulder during Green Bay's 22-10 wild-card loss to the Eagles in January, an injury for which he didn't require surgery. The third-year pro has prioritized bulking up early in the offseason, with passing-game coordinator Jason Vrable saying in mid-May that Reed is currently 199 pounds after playing at 187 pounds in 2024. The Packers' selection of Matthew Golden in the first round of April's draft, plus Savion Williams in the third round, provides Jordan Love and the passing game the requisite tools to grow more dynamic in 2025, a development that could prove positive for Reed in Year 3 even if he faces increased target competition. Romeo Doubs (concussion) and newcomer Mecole Hardman (knee) are also practicing Wednesday.

2023
Doubts about Reed's fantasy value ahead of his second pro season mostly center around uncertainty regarding volume. His rookie year left no doubt that the 50th overall pick is a high-quality player, with Reed tallying 793 receiving yards, 119 rushing yards and 10 total TDs on only 578 snaps (52.7 percent of the team total). He's about average in terms of size (5-11, 187) and speed (4.45 40), but his agility and route-running stood out almost immediately, making him more of a big-play threat than other slot-based WRs. Most of Reed's stats look like those of a perimeter target -- e.g. 10.1 aDOT, 12.4 YPR, 8.4 YPT -- even though he was lined up outside just 28 percent of the time. Production like his normally would demand a big role increase heading into Year 2, and while that's certainly possible, it isn't a given. 2022 second-round pick Christian Watson has 14 TDs in 23 NFL games, and 2022 fourth-rounder Romeo Doubs had 234 receiving yards in Green Bay's two playoff appearances (plus a team-high 96 targets during the regular season). On top of that, 2023 fifth-round pick Dontayvion Wicks had 581 yards on 58 targets last season, giving the Packers a fourth promising WR on a rookie contract. Even the tight ends could be a problem, with 2023 draft picks Luke Musgrave (second round) and Tucker Kraft (third round) both topping 350 yards last year and possibly inspiring the Packers to make two-TE sets a regular feature moving forward. It's an awful lot of competition for snaps and targets, even with QB Jordan Love and HC Matt LaFleur leading the charge for what could be one of the NFL's better offenses.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Adds weight during offseason
Reed has bulked up to 199 pounds in the offseason, according to Packers passing game coordinator Jason Vrable, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was listed at 187 pounds during the 2024 campaign, so he has added significant weight in the offseason. If the added bulk helps him shed tackles more frequently without compromising speed, Reed could maintain his spot as the top option in Green Bay's passing game despite the team adding wide receiver Matthew Golden out of Texas in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Reed's ability to bulk up effectively suggests the shoulder injury that bothered him down the stretch last season hasn't been impacting his offseason workouts.
