2024 Fantasy Outlook
McMillan caught 79 passes for 1,089 yards and nine touchdowns for Washington in 2022, but a knee injury held him back last season and allowed Ja'Lynn Polk to emerge as the Huskies' new No. 2 receiver. McMillan recovered some of his draft stock with a solid showing at the 2024 Combine -- 4.47 40, 37-inch vertical, 127-inch broad jump, 6.94-second cone drills -- and ended up going to the Bucs late in Round 3 with the 92nd overall pick. Meanwhile, new Bucs offensive coordinator Liam Coen has said he envisions Chris Godwin in the slot rather than mostly playing outside the way he did last year. McMillan thus figures to compete with incumbent No. 3 receiver Trey Palmer for a role that will largely entail perimeter snaps in three-wide sets. While it probably won't be a high-volume role if everyone is healthy, McMillan could be tasked with much more if Godwin or Mike Evans misses time. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Inactive due to hamstring injury
McMillan (hamstring) is inactive for Monday's game at Kansas City, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McMillan showed up on Tampa Bay's practice report Saturday as limited due to a hamstring injury, leaving him questionable for Week 9 action. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported shortly before inactives dropped Monday that McMillan tweaked his hamstring at Friday's session and was slated to sit out, which has come to pass. The Buccaneers thus will be down their top three wide receivers -- also, Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (IR, ankle) -- meaning Trey Palmer, Sterling Shepard (hamstring), Ryan Miller, Rakim Jarrett and Marquez Callaway will compose the team's receiving corps.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Capitalizes on minicamp opportunity
McMillan, a rookie third-round pick out of Washington, saw plenty of work with quarterback Baker Mayfield during the Buccaneers' mandatory minicamp, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Mike Evans was not participating Wednesday, and Trey Palmer also sat out for a second straight day for undisclosed reasons, so McMillan was in Mayfield's sights plenty. Laine notes the rookie caught a red-zone touchdown Tuesday before hauling in all three targets from Mayfield on Wednesday. "He's really friendly at the top of his routes, attacks the ball, catches with his hands. Just explosive, a smooth route runner," Mayfield said.
