Dre'Mont Jones

27-Year-Old Defensive EndDE
Seattle Seahawks
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Jones stayed healthy for the entire 2023 season and finished with a career-high 49 tackles (26 solo), including 4.5 sacks, which is two shy of his personal best. The Seahawks have a deep pass-rushing group, which bodes well for Jones by taking attention off him. The 27-year-old will have a steady floor because of his tackle count, regardless. Ready for Week 1

Jones (hamstring) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones was limited earlier in the week due to a hamstring injury, but it appears he's moved past the issue just in time for the Seahawks' regular-season opener Sunday. Expect the 27-year-old to serve as one of Seattle's top rotational edge rushers in Week 1.

2021
Jones leveraged a strong four-year run in Denver into a three-year, $51.5 million contract with Seattle this offseason. A disruptive force on the defensive line, Jones has registered 119 tackles, including 25 tackles for loss, and 18.5 sacks through 42 games over the last three seasons. The 26-year-old is locked into a starting role at defensive end for the Seahawks, and he should provide some IDP appeal as long as he can stay healthy.
Jones is proving to be an impact player on defense as the 25-year-old finished the 2021 campaign with 31 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. His 5.5 sacks were the second-most of any Broncos defender in 2021. As Jones enters the final year of his rookie contract this season, he'll look to take another step forward before becoming a free agent in 2023.
The third-year defensive end is a versatile defender who can play multiple positions on the defensive line and enters 2021 with the potential to earn a starting role in coach Vic Fangio's defense. Even with a knee injury that cost him three games in 2020, Jones logged 41 tackles and 6.5 sacks last season.

Playing multiple D-line positions
DESeattle Seahawks
June 29, 2024
Brady Henderson of ESPN.com relays that head coach Mike Mcdonald will take advantage of Jones' versatility by utilizing him in multiple positions along the defensive front.
ANALYSIS
Mcdonald told reporters during minicamp that he plans to "play a little matchup ball" by moving Jones around to exploit weaknesses in the opposing offense's scheme. Jones recorded a career-high 49 tackles over 17 regular-season games in 2023, but his 4.5 sacks were his lowest since his rookie season in 2019. Jones spent the first half of 2023 lining up primarily at defensive tackle, but he shifted over to defensive end for the second half after Uchenna Nwosu sustained a season-ending torn pectoral injury and Leonard Williams was acquired via trade from the Giants.
