Cade Stover

24-Year-Old Tight EndTE
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Stover caught five touchdowns in each of his last two seasons at Ohio State and produced 576 receiving yards in 2023 before being selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Texans. He was a teammate of Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud at Ohio State, but Stover may not get many opportunities to share the field with Stroud in the tight end’s rookie year. Dalton Schultz is locked in atop the depth chart, while Brevin Jordan and Teagan Quitoriano (groin) both performed capably in backup roles. Stover’s name is one to file away in dynasty and keeper leagues, but it’s probably too early to pay much attention to the 6-foot-4, 247-pound TE in redraft formats. Read Past Outlooks

Stover caught both of his targets for 15 yards in Monday's 34-10 win over Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Stover had multiple catches for just the third time in 11 games, but he did get his second red-zone look in the last three weeks. While his playing time has increased since Brevin Jordan (knee) suffered a season-ending injury, the rookie tight end remains firmly behind Dalton Schultz on the depth chart. Stover has 10 receptions on 15 targets for 102 yards through 11 games.

Top value pick of Feldman
TEHouston Texans
May 4, 2024
In his takeaways from the 2024 NFL Draft, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic lists Stover as his favorite value pick from the fourth round.
ANALYSIS
The Texans took Stover with the 123rd overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. Over his last two years at Ohio State, Stover registered 77 catches for 982 yards and 10 touchdowns, and he was named as the Big Ten Conference Tight End of the year in 2023. His criticism heading into the draft was his blocking, but Stover's impressive route tree and strong hands gives the Texans another threat in the passing game alongside Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins, Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz.
