2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hooper recorded 25 catches for 234 yards on 31 targets in 17 games during his lone season with the Raiders in 2023, with his modest numbers stemming from the fact that he shared TE snaps with second-round rookie Michael Mayer. Now that Hooper is with the Patriots, he'll reunite with offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt, under whom he worked in Cleveland during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, and work in a complementary role behind top option Hunter Henry. As long as Henry remains healthy, Hooper's fantasy utility will be limited, but if Henry misses time, Hooper could yield short-term dividends as a streaming option. Read Past Outlooks
One catch versus Titans
Hooper logged 27 of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Titans, en route to catching his only target for eight yards, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, Hunter Henry (60 snaps) caught seven of his eight targets in the contest for 56 yards. While firmly behind Henry in usage at tight end, Hooper is off the fantasy radar in all but the deepest of formats.

Hooper's lone season in Tennessee looked a whole lot like his previous two years spent with the Browns, though his yards per target improved from 5.7 to 7.4 from 2021 to 2022 en route to a 41-444-2 line on 60 targets in 17 games. After dealing tight end Darren Waller to the Giants this offseason, Las Vegas signed Hooper to a one-year, $2.75 million contract, but the Raiders subsequently invested the 35th overall pick in a premier TE prospect, Michael Mayer. The second-round rookie figures to immediately compete with Hooper for targets, while O.J. Howard could also factor into the mix.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
TE1 for Week 17
With rookie tight end Michael Mayer set to miss his second straight game with a toe injury, Hooper is set to be the number one tight end for Sunday's contest against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
In the Raiders' Week 16 win over the Chiefs, Hooper was second on the team with receptions, targets and receiving yards. That's not much to be said, however, as he finished with two catches on three targets for 13 yards in a game when starting quarterback Aidan O'Connell completed just nine of 21 passes for 62 yards. The Colts could be without starting cornerback Kenny Moore -- who popped up on the team's injury report Friday with a back issue -- which could open some space in the passing game for Hooper and the rest of the Raiders' pass catchers. The eight-year tight end out of Stanford has 18 catches for 167 yards and no touchdowns over 15 games this season.
