Austin Hooper

ANALYSIS
Hooper is regarded as one of the top tight ends in this draft, but that might have more to due with a lack of competition than anything else. Listed at 6-foot-4, 248 pounds, Hooper looks closer to 6-foot-3, and doesn't flash the athleticism you'd like to make up for what's otherwise an average-at-best build. Hooper is an adequate all-around player who shows good blocking fundamentals, but as a receiver he doesn't flash much explosiveness, looking downright sluggish in his route cuts at times. He's generally projected to go in the second or third round, but we're skeptical that Hooper projects to be much more than a Garrett Graham-type in the fourth round.
