DraftKings LoL: Saturday LCK Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings League of Legends series.

Games (EDT)

  • 2:00 a.m. KT Rolster vs. APK Prince
  • 5:00 a.m. SANDBOX Gaming vs. Hanwha Life Esports
  • 8:00 a.m. DragonX vs. Gen.G

KT (8-6) vs APK (4-9)

This game is interesting because I feel like everyone will pick APK Prince as a good value play because of their recent performances. I want to contest this by saying both teams they played gave them the easiest way to beat them. Between bad drafts and horrible rotations, I think many teams are treating APK like another Jin Air, and this is a team that could sneakily beat you with some of the veteran players they have. In this case, I believe KT Rolster gets a nice bounce back and we see a good performance from Aiming and Tusin. The only way I think APK can win is if Flawless can out-jungle Bon0 which I think is possible, but he'll need help from his team as well.

Prediction: KT 2-0

Bets: N/A

KT Players to target: Aiming (ADC $8,200), Tusin (SUP $5,600)

SB (4-9) vs HLE (4-9)

Another very close game as I believe the players on SANDBOX Gaming are a lot better than what they have shown us. Both teams came out taking a game from two solid teams in DragonX and Afreeca right after the break, but ever since then both teams haven't showed any capabilities of winning. SB has been getting killed in the side lanes and their bottom lane, and Punch hasn't been able to get anything going for

Another very close game as I believe the players on SANDBOX Gaming are a lot better than what they have shown us. Both teams came out taking a game from two solid teams in DragonX and Afreeca right after the break, but ever since then both teams haven't showed any capabilities of winning. SB has been getting killed in the side lanes and their bottom lane, and Punch hasn't been able to get anything going for them in the early game. Hanwha Life Esports on paper should be better, but their bot lane is also atrocious because of the inconsistency in their drafts and communication. By default I have to lean more to the consistency of HLE's starting roster and play style, mainly because they know what type of team they are, and can execute it when you have a sloppy opposition like SB. I don't like this game from a DFS perspective since its a slower-paced game and there could be sub issues.

Prediction: HLE 2-1

Bets: N/A

HLE Players to target: Cuvee (TOP $5,800), Haru (JNG $6,600)

DRX (10-4) vs Gen.G (12-2)

DragonX hasn't had many convincing wins over some of the top teams. They played Gen.G earlier in the split and did go to Game 3, but Gen.G sorta handed it to them. DragonX have the players and coaching that can carry games, but the upside with this team is that they know they don't have one main carry; instead every individual player feeds off each other. There's times that Chovy has looked out of sync and downright awful, but when he is working well with this team they can win almost any teamfight. I think Gen.G had a very easy schedule aside from T1 and DRX and their stats are really skewed compared to who DragonX had to play right before and after the break. Percentage wise, both teams are really good around objective rate with a slight lean to Gen.G. DragonX win by drafting early and ganking bot lane, which in this case could limit Ruler. If we can get MVP Chovy back in form, he will be able to last the laning phase against BDD and eventually win late game.

Prediction: DragonX 2-1

Bets: DRX ML (+210)

DRX Players to target: Pyosik (JNG $6,200), Chovy (MID $6,800), Deft (ADC $6,800)

Stacks

Cash: HLE/GenG, GenG/KT

GPP: DRX/KT
