American lefty Ryan Carpenter starts for the Monkeys. After giving up five runs to the Brothers in his CPBL debut, he's been on a roll over his last three starts, allowing a combined four runs, two of which were unearned. The Guardians' Dominican righty Henry Sosa looked like the best pitcher in the league last season, recording a remarkable 1.56 ERA and a 0.81 WHIP in 12 starts. He hasn't been anywhere near that good in four starts this season, struggling to a 6.55 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP. The majority of the damage came his last time out against the Lions, who scored 10 runs off of him in just two innings.

Ryan Carpenter, Monkeys: There are situations in which betting on a Henry Sosa bounceback would be a good idea, but a game in which he's facing the Monkeys' loaded lineup doesn't seem like the ideal time for that. Carpenter has been excellent in his last three starts and only costs 1.5 more credits than Sosa.
Lin Li, Monkeys: Lin had a strong two-game series against the Lions, grabbing five hits, scoring three runs and driving in three runs. It would be nice for his fantasy value if he moves back towards the top of the order, rather than batting sixth like he did in both of those games, but he's able to produce regardless of where he hits.
Cheng Chin, Monkeys: The Monkeys' elite bats are quite expensive, meaning you'll have to do some work to get a handful into your lineup. Cheng helps that process, as he costs a modest 9.5 credits. He's hit .306 while scoring 12 runs in 19 games this season.
Hu Chin-Lung, Guardians: If you're siding with the underdogs in this contest, Hu makes for a decent captain choice. He bats at or near the top of the Guardians' lineup and hits right-handed, important with lefty Ryan Carpenter on the mound for the Monkeys.
