Fubon Guardians (10-13) at Uni-President Lions (10-16)
Wednesday, May 20, 6:35 AM EDT
Projected Starters
RHP Chiang Kuo-Hao (2-2, 5.92 ERA) vs LHP Logan Darnell (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
Game Preview
Tuesday's series-opener between these two sides was rained out. The Lions have elected to push back Logan Darnell's scheduled start to Wednesday's game instead, while the Guardians are skipping Bryan Woodall and going with local product Chiang Kuo-Hao. As Chiang and Woodall have the same price tag on Dream11 and the rest of the contest is unchanged, the lineups and captain recommendations given below are unchanged from those which appeared in this spot for Tuesday's game (outside of swapping in Chiang for Woodall, of course). Chiang, a 22-year-old righty, struggled to a 7.40 ERA in his 20.2-inning debut last season. His 5.92 ERA through four starts this year looks rather uninspiring as well, but it's actually a fair amount better than the league-average mark of 6.32. The left-handed Darnell will be making his season debut, as he was delayed by the mandatory two-week quarantine for foreigners returning to Taiwan. Darnell made seven appearances at the MLB level for the Twins back in 2014. Since then, he spent several seasons in the upper minors before heading to the Mexican League last year, where he recorded a 5.17 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP, both solid numbers in a very high-scoring league.

Top Picks
Chiang Kuo-Hao, Guardians: Chiang's numbers don't make him the most inspiring choice, but he's at least held his own this season. He's been particularly good against the Lions, holding them to just two runs in 14 innings over a pair of starts. His cheap price (just 6.5 credits) makes him the superior option to Logan Darnell, who comes in at 12 credits but is a complete unknown at the CPBL level.
Kao Kuo-Lin, Guardians: Kao makes for the strongest captain choice among Guardians hitters in this contest. The right-handed outfielder will get an advantage against the left-handed Darnell, though it's not as if he needs one, as he's hit five homers and driven in 17 runs through 20 games this season.
Lin An-Ko, Lions: Lin is nearly always a strong choice for a Lions-centered lineup, and that's no different here. His hot start to the season hasn't slowed down, as he's now hit seven homers while driving in 29 runs through his first 26 games.
Wu Chieh-Jui, Lions: Cheap options who bat in key spots in the order are important inclusions in Dream11 lineups. Wu fits that bill well. He bat sixth in his season debut Saturday but moved up to the third spot Sunday, going a combined 3-for-9 across the two games.
