Both sides are in need of a strong series if they're to gain ground on the league-leading Monkeys, who are 4.5 games up on both teams heading into this game. The Guardians enter the series on a three-game winning streak, meaning they haven't lost in two full weeks thanks to all the rainouts. They'll send 22-year-old righty Chiang Kuo-Hao to the mound in search of their fourth straight win. His 5.92 WHIP and 1.56 WHIP look quite poor on the surface, but both are actually slightly better than average given the league's overall offensive explosion. The visiting Brothers will turn to veteran American righty Mitch Lively. He's only made one start and one relief appearance this season, allowing five runs over six innings of work. In a larger sample of 324 innings over the course of his CPBL career, however, he owns a strong 3.69 ERA.

Mitch Lively, Brothers: The Guardians may be entering this one on a bit of a hot streak, but Lively has the talent to shut them down. He's barely pitched this season but was excellent last season, finishing second among qualified starters with a 3.23 ERA.
Chang Chih-Hao, Brothers: Chang has been on a tear lately and is a worthy captain choice. He's homered in four straight games and six of his last seven contests, giving him a .680 slugging percentage to go along with his .371 batting average.
Su Wei-Ta, Brothers: If not for Chang's incredible recent performance, Su would likely be the Brothers' best captain option. His four homers on the season are second on the team behind Chang's eight, and he's scored 23 times and driven in 22 runs in 26 games.
Kao Kuo-Lin, Guardians: Kao makes for a strong captain choice for those siding with the Brothers in this one. He's hitting .329 with five homers this season.
