College Football DFS Picks for Saturday, November 28
Quarterback
Kevin Jennings,
SMU (DK $8,600, FD $9,400) @ California
Justin Wilcox's firing should have some effect on this game, but Jennings should be able to take care of business regardless of how Cal is affected. It's one win-and-in situation for the Mustangs, who would win a berth in the ACC Championship and a path to the CFP playoff if they get past the Bears. Jennings and his offense can put up points quickly and often, and Jennings' dual-threat skills should come in handy. Cal has faced a few quarterbacks with Jennings' skill set this season, and every game has been a high-scoring affair for the opponent. Jennings' floor is also incredibly steady, and he holds an unexpectedly low salary amid the DFS sites' tendency to inflate quarterback cost.
Ashton Daniels,
Auburn (DK $7,600, FD $8,000) vs. Alabama
This is likely a risky pick for some, but anything can happen in the Iron Bowl, and I think Auburn's new choice at

Ashton Daniels,
Auburn (DK $7,600, FD $8,000) vs. Alabama
This is likely a risky pick for some, but anything can happen in the Iron Bowl, and I think Auburn's new choice at quarterback could result in a close game and a possible win for Auburn. He had a massive game against Vanderbilt and took last week off with the sole purpose of eventually facing the Crimson Tide. Auburn's offense responded extremely well with Daniels at the helm, and I think we might see a big surprise in this historic rivalry.
Also consider: Chandler Morris, [LOGO[Virginia (DK $8,200, FD $8,500) vs. Virginia Tech
Running Back
J'Mari Taylor,
Virginia (DK $8,600, FD $9,700) vs. Virginia Tech
Taylor could easily lead all running backs in this slate. Taylor is the complete package and could feast on Virginia Tech's defense if his offensive line holds up. I would hope for a slightly closer game to keep Taylor on the field, but he should be able to produce a good number, even if he's pulled a little early.
TJ Harden,
SMU (DK $7,500, FD $7,700) @ California
Harden's usage in SMU's offense has risen over the past two games after a few games in which he failed to meet expectations. There are several ways that the Mustangs can hurt you, and lately, the team has leaned on Harden, giving him the lion's share of carries out of the backfield.SMU could also take control of the game early and may elect to keep running the ball to end the game early.
Hollywood Smothers,
N.C. State (DK $7,200, FD $8,800) vs. North Carolina
The interstate bragging rights are all that's on the line for this game, as the Wolfpack are bowl-eligible and the Tar Heels are out of postseason consideration. North Carolina's run defense isn't bad, but the Wolfpack could easily slide Smothers' output to the passing game. N.C. State's offensive line has also had a lot of success in opening up holes for Smothers, and he's a strong choice in the playing pool.
Wide Receiver
Let's address USC's receivers before we move forward. I get the desire to go after Makai Lemon (DK $8,700, FD $11,200) and Ja'Kobi Lane (DK $6,800, FD $8,100) against the Bruins, but I am fading both guys for two reasons. They won't be needed as much in this game, and they're also prohibitively expensive based on how we've spent so far. Maybe going with Tanook Hines ($6,300) with his more agreeable salary is viable, but we have to buy low after our high spending at quarterback and running back. Lane's salary isn't bad, but a lesser line than Lemon must be expected.
Cam Coleman,
Auburn (DK $6,300, FD $7,300) @ Alabama
The Tigers sat Ashton Daniels against Mercer to rest him ahead of the Alabama game. Coleman and Daniels were in sync against Vandy, and he also scored a touchdown against Mercer without him.
Jacob De Jesus,
California (DK $7,500, FD $8,500) vs. SMU
Although I believe SMU will come away with a win, the Bears have a very proficient passing game that will make some waves in the contest. DeJesus has consistently been the best target through the air, and although I lack some confidence in the team's offense as a whole, it makes sense to go with their best passing target, especially if they end up playing from behind.
Romello Brinson,
SMU (DK $4,100, FD $6,700) @ California
Yamir Knight is questionable, and Jordan Hudson is banged up, so Brinson makes the most sense as a Jennings stack. Brinson's numbers haven't been stellar, but there's sufficient upside to make this our lowest purchase of the evening.
