INJURY SITUATIONS TO MONITOR
Kameron McGusty, Seton Hall (back) - QUESTIONABLE
If McGusty sits again, Isaiah Wong ($4,200) would emerge as an excellent value pivot.
Mac McClung, Georgetown (foot) - DOUBTFUL
I think it's relatively safe to assume that McClung will miss, which should result in a start for Jahvon Blair ($5,000).
ELITE PLAYS
Luka Garza, Iowa (DK $9,600, FD $8,900) @ Purdue
Garza sits atop the slate at a justifiably high price, although you do get a slight discount on his production over at FanDuel. The 6-foot-11 center is one of the best players in the country and ranks fifth nationally with 23.0 points per game, and 17th in the country with 10.3 rebounds per game.
Omer Yurtseven, Georgetown (DK $8,500, FD $8,000) vs. Seton Hall
The 7-0 senior now has 12 double-doubles on the season and has seen boosts across the board after his transfer from N.C. State. He looks to be in a good situation against Seton Hall, who ranks 200th in total rebound defense.
Anthony Edwards, Georgia (DK $7,900, FD $7,100) @ Florida
The dynamic freshman guard continues to turn heads in the SEC, and his FanDuel price is especially attractive tonight. Defenses continue to have problems containing him, and Florida could have its hands full if he gets hot from the perimeter, as the Gators rank 135th in defending the 3-point shot.
Ty-Shon Alexander, Creighton (DK $7,800, FD $7,000) @ Providence
Alexander continues to roll in his junior season with the Bluejays, averaging an impressive 16.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals over 22 games. The narrow spread and high o/u are both attractive aspects in Alexander's favor, and Providence is pretty lukewarm across the board in its defensive metrics.
Derek Culver, West Virginia (DK $7,200, FD $6,400) vs. Iowa State
Culver sits at a great price on FanDuel, and the Mountaineers should be a team to load up on tonight. Oscar Tshiebwe will siphon some rebounding totals on a nightly basis, but I think the 6-10 sophomore is the better option. He's averaged a strong 8.8 rebounds per game over his last 10 contests.
Also consider: Keyontae Johnson, Florida (DK $7,500, FD $5,900) vs. Georgia
VALUE PLAYS
Denzel Mahoney, Creighton (DK $5,800, FD $5,300) @ Providence
Although Mahoney has only started once this season, his minutes remain as high as the team's starters of late, averaging 26.2 over his past five games. He's also scored double-digit points in 10-straight games and has seen ceilings as high as eight rebounds over that span.
Rodney Miller, Jr., Miami (FL) (DK $5,400, FD $5,600) vs. N.C. State
The Hurricanes have had a difficult season thus far, but the oddsmakers seem to think they have a shot against the Wolfpack, who have had their own share of struggles in conference play. The nexus of my reasoning for Miller is the Wolfpack's struggles in the paint. They rank 245th on the country with a 28.7 percent offensive rebound percentage and are 220th nationally with a tepid total rebounding percentage of 49.54 percent.
Evan Boudreaux, Purdue (DK $5,000, FD $4,100) vs. Iowa
The senior has now started in three consecutive games, and it's resulted in a significant bump in usage and production. He kicked off his tenure as a starter with a double-double and it appears that the team is going to continue to run with him in the frontcourt.
Romaro Gill, Seton Hall (DK $5,100, FD $6,100) @ Georgetown
Gill currently ranks fourth in the country with 3.4 blocks per game, and the 7-2 senior compiled a ridiculous eight blocks against Providence last week. He's also a decent rebound contributor, although his point totals can be a bit difficult to predict. Omer Yurtseven will provide a significant challenge, but Gill has a significant height advantage and is at a very favorable price.
Brevin Pritzl, Wisconsin (DK $4,900, FD $4,300) @ Minnesota
Pritzle got a boost in production in Brad Davison's (suspension) absence, and while Davison is set to return tonight, the Badgers only see regular production from eight players. Pritzl's spot start could convince coach Greg Gard to give the guard more minutes.
Also consider: Joe Toussaint, Iowa (DK $4,900, FD $4,800) @ Purdue
DRAFTKINGS-ONLY GAMES
LSU @ Vanderbilt
This game has the highest over/under on the slate, so it's definitely a game to target on the DraftKings side of the docket. The loss of Aaron Nesmith (foot) is a huge blow to Vandy, but it does give you an opportunity to pivot to another player in his absence. The wisest move is to just depend on starters Saben Lee ($7,700) and Scotty Pippen Jr. ($6,500). For LSU, I favor Emmitt Williams ($7,000) and Trendon Watford ($6,900) over Skylar Mays, and Darius Days ($5,800) is my favorite value pivot.
Louisville vs. Wake Forest
Although the Cards are heavily favored, Vegas predicts a game total of above 140, so it's reasonable to look at both teams for action on this slate. Obviously Jordan Nwora ($8,100) and Brandon Childress ($7,800) are the game's headliners, with Steven Enoch ($5,500) and Andrien White ($5,500) as my favorite value plays.
FANDUEL-ONLY GAMES
Oklahoma State vs. TCU
TCU's Kevin Samuel ($7,100) is the game's most dependable high-priced target, and I favor him over the Cowboys' elite offerings as they spread the production around a bit more. I do think that Cameron McGriff ($5,600) is a great value target for Oklahoma State, however.
Memphis vs. Temple
It's always hard to ignore Precious Achiuwa ($8,100) when he's on the slate, but thankfully this game gives us other starters that come in at a reasonable price. Temple's Nate Pierre-Louis ($6,800) is as steady as they come at the guard position, with four straight games close to 30 FanDuel points. Temple also has affordable mid-range targets in Quinton Rose ($6,600) and Alani Moore II ($4,700). With D.J. Jeffries (PCL) sidelined, Lester Quinones ($4,700) has seen a nice production boost, making him a great value call for Memphis.
GAME TO TARGET
Florida (-9.5) vs. Georgia O/U: 142
While it isn't the most obvious game on the slate, I think we need to look beyond Anthony Edwards for other plays in this contest, with Florida's Kerry Blackshear Jr. ($7,700), the aforementioned Keyontae Johnson, and Georgia's Rayshaun Hammonds ($7,100) as the best mid-range targets.
GAME TO FADE
Virginia (-7) vs. Clemson
It's a perfect storm of the two slowest-paced teams in the country in this matchup. I'm going to fade Virginia in every slate I cover, and would probably limit my Clemson exposure to Aamir Simms ($7,700) in game-specific situations.
