This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.
It's a lighter day in college basketball with Illinois and Purdue as the only top-25 teams in action across a handful of conference games tonight. DraftKings will feature the $10 Big Jam contest with a $2,000 top payout amongst a six-game slate, while FanDuel has both Big Ten games for their $7.77 All-American with $500 to first. Both sites begin at 6:30 p.m. EST.
Top Players
Tyler Burton, F, Richmond ($7,900 DK)
Burton gets a bit of a price drop from his last game on DraftKings, coming down from $8,400 despite recording at least 38 fantasy points in 3-of-5 games since. He's been one of the most efficient players in the country this season with shooting splits of 59/42/81, an uncommon line for someone leading his team with 7.6 rebounds per game. Although Davidson is 13-2 and 45th in KenPom, they only rank 116th in defensive efficiency.
Sincere Carry, G, Kent St. ($7,300 DK)
It seems a little redundant taking Carry every time Kent State is on the slate but even with a $1,700 price increase from last Friday, he's too difficult to pass up in this range. Carry has now recorded at least 30 fantasy points in six consecutive games with a pair of 50-point fantasy performances during that stretch. He's also played all 40 minutes in the last seven games while leading the team with a 27 percent usage rate.
Middle Tier
Sasha Stefanovic, G, Purdue ($6,100 DK, $5,700 FD)
Stefanovic was priced $1,000 higher less than two weeks ago and now drops into a more attractive salary range in a great matchup against a Nebraska team that loves to push the pace. Through six conference games thus far they're allowing 85 ppg and rank 300th nationally in three-point percentage defense, where Stefanovic has made 2.6 per game at a 42 percent clip.
Foster Loyer, G, Davidson ($5,300 DK)
Loyer is simply priced too low to fade tonight -- his floor over his last six games has been 23.5 points which is still very high for the mid $5,000s and the point guard has been an elite scorer with three 25-point games already this season. He's shooting 50 percent from three-point range with over three made per game and Richmond has allowed over 70 points in their last three games.
Value Plays
Donovan Williams, F, UNLV ($4,700 DK)
UNLV has one of the tougher matchups on the slate against a solid Fresno State defense that also plays at the fifth slowest tempo in the country. That leaves me to pivot off the more expensive UNLV options and onto Williams who has five straight games with at least 20 fantasy points. The Texas transfer has emerged as the team's best player, shooting 50 percent from the field while accounting for 28.4 percent of the team's shots when on the court.
Ali Ali, G/F, Akron ($3,700 DK)
Ali has some impressive numbers for someone priced under $4k, averaging over 30 minutes, 14 ppg and a team-high 24.6 percent usage rate. After seven straight games in double figures that included a 32-point performance against Buffalo, Ali will look to bounce back after being held without a field goal against Ball St. The 44 percent three-point shooter should be able to do just that against a sub .500 Kent State squad.
