2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bradford made the Rangers' Opening Day rotation last season only because Michael Lorenzen signed late and needed time to get built up. The lefty held a 1.40 ERA in his first three starts but then missed the next 16 weeks due to a stress fracture in his rib cage. He returned to post a 3.60 ERA and 51:10 K:BB over 55 frames in 10 starts from August on, setting himself up to be a cog in the Texas rotation in 2025. Bradford averaged less than 90 mph with his fastball in 2024, but hitters can't square the pitch up. The offering netted a plus-11 Run Value and .280 xwOBA, and it might only be his second-best pitch behind his changeup. Bradford's strikeout rate is merely adequate, but his pristine control makes him a great WHIP bet and he routinely pitched deep into games in 2024 because he was so efficient. ANALYSIS
Bradford has been diagnosed with a left elbow sprain since being scratched from a Cactus League start March 12, with manager Bruce Bochy relaying that the southpaw would be shut down from throwing for four weeks. Even if Bradford is cleared to begin a throwing program by mid-April, he'll likely need at least another month to get stretched back out and complete a rehab assignment. Any setback along the way would make him a candidate to move to the 60-day IL.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
A sixth-round pick in 2019, Bradford made his big-league debut last May at the age of 25. He rode the shuttle in the months that followed before settling in with the Rangers down the stretch. The left-hander was added to the roster in the postseason and ended up making a handful of playoff appearances, including a couple scoreless appearances in the World Series. While Bradford struggled occasionally with the long ball, he turned in a respectable 16.7 K-BB% with Texas during the regular season. He does not bring great velocity, though the heat plays up thanks to his extension, and he can pull the string on the changeup at 82.1 mph. Bradford also mixes in a slider as his main breaking pitch. The presumptive favorite for the fifth starter spot entering spring training, Bradford will have to perform in the Cactus League to secure the role. He will face stiff competition in the rotation if/when the Rangers get healthy later this summer.
