Today's DFS College Basketball action features a pair of matchups in the Big East, with DraftKings highlighting their $10 Big Jam Contest with a $2,000 top payout amongst the four-game slate. Meanwhile, FanDuel has a smaller two-game slate for their $7.77 All-American with $500 to first. Tip-off on both sites begins at 6:30 p.m. EST.
Top Players
Tamenang Choh, F, Brown ($7,900 DK)
Choh is averaging a solid .97 fantasy points per minute and has logged 35 minutes in each of the last two games, making him my top choice to pay up for tonight. The senior is coming off a 26-point, 13-rebound game against Penn and also had a 21-rebound game earlier in the season. He should have plenty of opportunities on the glass against a Harvard squad that likes to push the pace and is only shooting 43 percent from the field.
Aminu Mohammed, G, Georgetown ($7,100 DK, $7,900 FD)
Georgetown's matchup with Marquette has the highest over/under on the slate and with good reason -- both teams play at top-25 tempos nationally and have young teams that aren't particularly sound defensively. Mohammed is off to a stellar start to his freshman campaign and presents massive upside for this price range with a 55-point fantasy performance three games ago. Despite his 6-5 frame, he's already posted five double-doubles this season.
Middle Tier
Bryce Nze, F, Butler ($6,700 DK, $5,800 FD)
Nze finally returned to the lineup last week after missing seven games with a shoulder injury and most recently put up 32 fantasy points despite a 38-percent shooting night against Seton Hall. I expect Butler to lean on him again tonight, as the Bulldogs have struggled mightily offensively in his absence, and he's the best rebounder on the team, having posted eight double-digit rebounding games last season
Sincere Carry, G/F, Kent St. ($5,600 DK)
Contrarian players may look to fade Carry against the favorite to win the MAC in Ohio, but that's a risky proposition considering that he's scored at least 30 fantasy points in each of the last four games. The Duquesne transfer has played all 40 minutes in five consecutive games and has been a stat stuffer, averaging over 4.5 rebounds and assists per game to go along with leading the team in points.
Values
Chris Ledlum, F, Harvard ($5,000 DK)
Ledlum will likely be the highest rostered player on the slate, as he's averaging a whopping 34.5 fantasy ppg and should be priced at least $2k higher. He's totaled at least 20 fantasy points in all 12 of Harvard's games, including three 40+ point performances. Ledlum has developed into an exceptional rebounder in his junior season with six double-doubles already, and he leads the Crimson with a 30.7 percent usage rate.
Dan Friday, G, Brown ($4,800 DK)
Friday ranks second on tonight's slate in shot percentage, accounting for 29.6 percent of Brown's shots when he's on the court. Although his playing time is usually capped around 25 minutes, it's factored into his salary, and he posted 21 points and five assists in a tough matchup against UNC. With his ability to produce across the stat sheet, Friday is a good value filler to complete your roster with a safe floor.
