The Friday focus in college basketball goes to two teams atop the Atlantic 10 in a matchup between St. Bonaventure and VCU. It's part of a larger-than-usual six-game Friday slate on DraftKings tonight, as the $12 Heating Up contest is featured with a top prize of $2,000 and a 7 p.m. EST start time.
Targets
Keaton Wallace, G, UTSA ($7,700 DK)
Wallace checks-in with the 10th highest salary but should challenge to be one of the top scorers today as a high upside player that's scored over 45 fantasy points in two of his last four games. FAU has really struggled to defend the three this season, allowing opponents to shoot over 38 percent, and Wallace leads the team in three-point attempts. He also contributes in a variety of categories to provide a good floor with over five boards per game, while also leading the team in assists.
Dalano Banton, G/F, Nebraska ($7,000 DK)
Banton comes in with his cheapest price tag of the season and has lived up to this salary in three of his last four games, with the other being when he was nursing an ankle injury and only played 25 minutes against Michigan St. This is the highest over/under of the day, and Banton has been a stat-sheet filler this season, leading the team in rebounds and assists. If Banton can get back to how he shot the ball earlier this season, he should out-perform his expectations.
B.J. Greenlee, G, FAU ($5,100 DK)
FAU's opponent tonight in UTSA ranks second-to-last in the Conference USA in defense and second in pace, which makes this a green-light opportunity. You don't see many guys around the $5k range that are likely to see 35 minutes while also being a key contributor in the offense. Greenlee has double-digit points in five of his last six games and has been an excellent from long-range at 43 percent, where FAU is allowing opponents to shoot 36 percent.
Fades
Moses Wright, F, Georiga Tech ($8,200 DK)
Another tough matchup for Georgia Tech, as it faces a Clemson squad the leads the ACC in defensive efficiency and is second-slowest in tempo. Wright has been held under 25 fantasy points in his last two games, and there's too much downside to risk paying up for him in this spot. If Clemson has a weakness defensively, it's on the perimeter. Michael Devoe ($6,300 DK) leads the team in three-pointers made and is a solid mid-level salary pivot.
Jaylen Forbes, G, Tulane ($7,100 DK)
Forbes is coming off one of his better games of the season but has been priced up $1,200 from last week as a result. He's only lived up to this salary in two of his last seven games and will have a limited ceiling against a UCF team that hasn't allowed more than 60 points in their last two games. Forbes' production is also heavily reliant on scoring, but he only ranks fourth on the team in percentage of shots taken.
Adrian Baldwin, G, VCU ($6,400 DK)
Baldwin has been held under his salary expectation in four of the last five games and has a limited ceiling with a high of 31 fantasy points this season. It's difficult to imagine this being a spot where he exceeds expectations against St. Bonaventure – who leads the A10 and also held him scoreless in their first meeting. At a similar price you can get his teammate Vince Williams ($6,000 DK) who has been more efficient and also averages over two shots more per game.
