Mavs Maul Celtics, 122-84, To Extend Series
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the visiting Boston Celtics, 122-84, in Game 4 of the NBA Finals at American Airlines Center on Friday.

Boston leads this series, 3-1.

This was the most lopsided Finals game in history, with Dallas taking command with a 34-21 first quarter. They also led 61-35 at the half and won the third and fourth quarters by six points apiece. They got their lead up to 48 points at times, leading by at least 25 points for the whole of the second half. The Mavericks shot 51 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range while holding the Celtics to 36 percent from the field and 34 percent from long range. Dallas also out-rebounded Boston, 65-39, while outscoring them in the paint, 60-26.

The Celtics (3-1) were led by Jayson Tatum, tallying 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Sam Hauser led the bench with 14 points and four rebounds. Jrue Holiday had 10 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Jaylen Brown had 10 points and two assists. Payton Pritchard provided 11 points, three rebounds and three assists.

The Mavericks (1-3) were led by Luka Doncic, collecting 29 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Kyrie Irving collected 21 points, four rebounds and six assists. Dereck Lively led the bench with 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Tim Hardaway had 15 points and three rebounds. Dante Exum also had 10 points and two boards.

Boston will look to close out the series at home on Monday.
