Thunder Blow Past Grizzlies
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the visiting Memphis Grizzlies, 116-97, at Paycom Center on Monday evening.

The Thunder got out to a strong start and led, 34-26, after one quarter. The Grizzlies tied it up early in the second but fell apart, as the hosts dominated the rest of the quarter to take a 15-point lead into the break. The Thunder turned up the defense in the third and held the visitors to just 13 points in the quarter, while they pushed their lead to 28 points heading into the final frame. The Grizzlies put up a fight in the fourth but it was not enough, as they fell short for their fifth straight loss. This marks the second straight win for the Thunder.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 30 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals, in 28 minutes. Chet Holmgren followed up with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal and seven blocks, while Josh Giddey totaled 16 points 12 rebounds, four assists and a steal.

Ziaire Williams led the Grizzlies with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists, in 22 minutes off the bench. Desmond Bane followed up with 17 points, five assists and a steal, while Jacob Gilyard added 12 points, seven assists and a steal.

The Grizzlies (6-19) will look to bounce back as they take on the Pelicans in New Orleans on Tuesday. The Thunder (17-8) play host to the Clippers on Thursday.
