Knicks Defeat Lakers, 114-109
The New York Knicks defeated the host Los Angeles Lakers, 114-109, at Crypto.com Arena on Monday.

There were eight ties and 11 lead changes in this game, with neither team leading by more than 12 points. That was New York, maintaining the lead for all but a handful of minutes in this game. They outscored LA in the first and third quarters, 68-49. The Knicks shot 48 percent from the field and 33 percent from three-point range while the Lakers shot 42 percent from the field and 32 percent from long range. NY also out-rebounded LA, 58-49, while outscoring them in the paint, 62-52.

The Knicks (15-11) were led by Jalen Brunson, finishing with 29 points, four rebounds and three assists. Julius Randle registered 27 points, 14 rebounds and three assists. RJ Barrett totaled 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Immanuel Quickley led the bench with 20 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Isaiah Hartenstein had nine points, 17 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks.

The Lakers (15-12) were led by Anthony Davis, collecting 32 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. LeBron James had 25 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. No other starter reached double figures in scoring, combining to shoot 8-of-32 from the field. Austin Reaves led the bench with 20 points, three rebounds and seven assists.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday, with Los Angeles traveling to play the Chicago Bulls and New York staying on the road to face the Brooklyn Nets.
