Hawks Hang On In Overtime
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the visiting Philadelphia 76ers, 139-132, at State Farm Arena on Wednesday evening.

The game got out to a high-scoring start as the Hawks led, 34-31, after one quarter. The score stayed close through the second, but the visitors managed to push ahead and grab a three-point edge at the break. Both sides kept up the pace in the third and poured in 34 points each, as the visitors maintained their three-point lead. The Hawks picked up momentum in the fourth and led for most of the quarter, before the Sixers reclaimed the advantage. The Hawks got another chance as Trae Young hit one of two free-throw attempts to send the game to overtime. The Hawks took control in the extra frame and outscored the 76ers, 14-7, to close out the home win and end a two-game slide. This also marks the third straight loss for the Sixers.

Trae Young led the Hawks with 28 points, 11 assists, a steal and a block, in 43 minutes. Jalen Johnson totaled 25 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, a steal and a block, while Dejounte Murray finished with 25 points, five rebounds, five assists and a steal.

Meanwhile, Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 35 points, eight rebounds, nine assists and four steals, in 43 minutes. Tobias Harris followed up with 32 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and a block, while Marcus Morris added 17 points and four rebounds.

The 76ers (23-13) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Kings on Friday. The Hawks (15-21) play host to the Pacers on Friday.
