Nuggets Defeat Mavericks, 118-109
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting Dallas Mavericks, 118-109, at Ball Arena on Wednesday.

Denver led for all but one minute in this game, thanks to a 35-18 second quarter. They got their lead up to 21 points at times and held a double-digit lead for the entirety of the second half until the final shot of the game. The Nuggets shot 57 percent from the field while holding the Mavericks to 46 percent shooting. Denver also out-assisted Dallas, 34-25, while out-rebounding them, 49-39. The Nuggets outscored the Mavericks in the paint, 64-38, while outscoring them in fastbreak points, 19-9.

The Mavericks (31-29) were led by Luka Doncic, collecting 37 points, four rebounds, nine assists and four steals. He was the only starter in double figures. Dwight Powell amassed eight points, 10 rebounds and two assists. Christian Wood led the bench with 17 points, four rebounds and two assists.

The Nuggets (41-18) were led by Jeff Green, providing 24 points off the bench. Michael Porter Jr led the starters with 22 points, five rebounds and two blocks. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope compiled 14 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals, while Nikola Jokic finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.

Both teams will head into the All-Star break. They both return to action on February 23, with Denver traveling to face the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas returning home to play the San Antonio Spurs.
