Nuggets Blow Past Cavs
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, 121-108, at Ball Arena on Friday evening.

The game got out to a competitive start as the Cavs led by two, after one quarter. The hosts came out stronger in the second and claimed a four-point lead by halftime. The Nuggets kept the momentum going in the third and outscored the visitors, 32-24, to make it a 12-point game heading into the final quarter. The Cavs kept up the fight but could not make any progress through the fourth, as the Nuggets held on for their second straight win.

Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 28 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals, in 35 minutes. Jamal Murray followed up with 18 points, four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal, while Michael Porter added 16 points and eight rebounds. The Nuggets shot 53 percent from the field, including 17-of-35 from deep.

Meanwhile, Caris LeVert led the way for the Cavs, with 22 points, four rebounds and three assists, in 33 minutes. Darius Garland followed up with 21 points, four rebounds and eight assists, while Cedi Osman tallied 15 points, two assists and two steals. The Cavs shot 45.5 percent from the field, including 10-of-26 from long range.

The Cavaliers (25-15) take on the Suns in Phoenix on Sunday. The Nuggets (26-13) play host to the Lakers on Monday.
