Knicks Secure Road Win Over Raptors
The New York Knicks defeated the Toronto Raptors, 112-108, at Scotiabank Arena on Friday.

The Knicks (22-18) enjoyed a strong start and managed to keep up the rest of the game, and that was enough to get past the Raptors (16-23) despite playing on the road. With the win, the Knicks improved to 12-8 away from home while the Raptors fell to 11-10 at home. New York established its terms early on and jumped out to a 30-26 score in the first quarter, and they bolstered that advantage even further following a 27-21 score in the second quarter, giving them a 10-point lead at the break. Toronto responded with a 31-24 score in the third quarter and made it a close game, but the Knicks wouldn’t let it slip away. The Knicks won the final quarter by a 31-30 score, and that was enough to close things out.

Julius Randle led the way for the Knicks with a 32-point performance that also included 11 rebounds and three assists, while Jalen Brunson posted 26 points, eight assists and five boards. Immanuel Quickley finished with 13 points, five boards and four assists, and Quentin Grimes finished with 16 points and two assists. Mitchell Robinson only had 10 points but pulled down 18 rebounds.

Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent led the way for the Raptors in the loss, as VanVleet notched 28 points, eight boards and seven assists while Trent posted 13 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two assists. O.G. Anunoby had 13 points and nine rebounds while also adding three steals and two assists, and Pascal Siakam chipped in with a 18-point, 13-rebound double-double that also included five assists.
