T'Wolves Defeat Thunder, 112-110
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Oklahoma City Thunder, 112-110, at Paycom Center on Friday.

There were 10 ties and 14 lead changes in this game, coming down to the final shot. Josh Giddey had a halfcourt heave to win the game but was unable to prevail after Minnesota rode a 24-19 fourth quarter to their win. The Timberwolves shot 49 percent from the field and 48 percent from three-point range while holding the Thunder to 47 percent from the field and 30 percent from long range. Minnesota also recorded 16 steals while winning the turnover battle, 22-16.

The Timberwolves (14-15) were led by Naz Reid, who registered 28 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals in a rare start. Austin Rivers amassed 20 points, three rebounds and five steals. Anthony Edwards accrued 19 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Jaden McDaniels had 14 points, five rebounds and three steals. Jaylen Nowell led the bench with 13 points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Thunder (11-18) were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, collecting 35 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Jalen Williams finished with 13 points, four rebounds and three assists. Josh Giddey compiled 11 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, while Aaron Wiggins and Eugene Omoruyi led the bench with 14 points apiece.

On deck for Oklahoma City is a home matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. As for Minnesota, they return to action on Sunday in a home meeting with the Chicago Bulls.
