Yahoo DFS Basketball: Wednesday Picks

Yahoo DFS Basketball: Wednesday Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Basketball series.

Wednesday will be a busy night in the NBA with 10 games on the schedule. With so many teams in action, there will be a lot of intriguing players for your Yahoo DFS lineup. Let's get right down to business and look at some of the better options for the evening.

GUARD

John Wall, WAS at LAL ($51): Wall has put up elite numbers in the early going, averaging 46.9 Yahoo points per game. Not only is he averaging 24.3 points and 10.0 assists per game, but he is also averaging 1.0 steal and 1.7 blocks. He'll look to take advantage of rookie Lonzo Ball on Wednesday and should be in line for a big performance.

Dejounte Murray, SA at MIA ($13): The fact that Murray is priced so low is almost criminal. He has been excellent since taking over for the injured Tony Parker (quad), averaging 34.6 Yahoo points per game this season. He has shown an ability to contribute in multiple categories as he is averaging 13.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Get him in your lineup.

Guard to Avoid:

Dion Waiters, MIA vs. SA ($24): Waiters has been dealing with an ankle injury and is listed as questionable for this game. He struggled in his last game against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday as he scored only 13.9 Yahoo points. Even if he is able to go Wednesday, he will likely be limited with his injury. Don't take the risk.

FORWARD

Kevin Durant, GS vs. TOR ($48): You don't really need to make much of an argument to use Durant on any given night. Not only has he been his usual stellar self by averaging 24.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, but he has also been a monster defensively by averaging 3.8 blocks. This should be another high scoring affair against the Raptors, so enjoy the usual excellent production from Durant.

DeMarre Carroll, BKN vs. CLE ($11): Like Murray, Carroll is priced extremely reasonably considering his production so far this season. After averaging only 8.9 points per game as a member of the Raptors last season, Carroll has found his stroke again in Brooklyn as he enters Wednesday averaging 15.5 points per contest. Add that to his usual excellent defensive contributions and you can't pass him up at this price.

Forward to Avoid:

Paul Millsap, DEN at CHA ($35): Millsap is averaging 18.0 points and 7.7 rebounds this season, which is great on the surface. The problem is, he's not contributing anywhere else as he has a total of three assists, one block and no steals through three games. You can't spend this much money on a player who provides so little value in that many categories.

CENTER

Kevin Love, CLE at BKN ($34): Love is only averaging 27 minutes per game this season, but it hasn't hindered his production as he is still averaging 34.8 Yahoo points per game. The Nets really struggle to defend big men, leaving Love with the opportunity to put up excellent numbers Wednesday.

Steven Adams, OKC vs. IND ($13): Adams has scored at least 42.5 Yahoo points in two of three games this season. The only game he struggled in was against Rudy Gobert, but he gives everyone problems. The Thunder lack depth on their roster, which has resulted in Adams averaging a career high 32 minutes per game. If you want to save money at center, Adams should be your man.

Center to Avoid

Clint Capela, HOU at PHI ($23): Capela has produced so far this season as he is averaging 33.2 Yahoo points over four games. The issue Wednesday is not with his production this season, but the fact that he will have to face off against Joel Embiid. The potential is there for Capela to get into foul trouble and struggle in general in this game. He's not worth the risk, especially with someone like Adams that is priced far lower.
