Handicapping the NBA: Friday Picks

With Steph Curry sidelined, Alex Barutha likes Andrew Wiggins to score at least 25 points (+194).
Handicapping the NBA: Friday Picks

Andrew Wiggins to score 25+ points (+194) @ TOR -- FanDuel (2:07 PM CT)

Stephen Curry (tailbone) is out Friday, and with Curry off the court, Wiggins leads the team in usage (29.3%) and averages 22.6 points per 36 minutes. I think Wiggins will go a bit above that Friday considering how much the Raptors have struggled, and I'm getting nearly 2-to-1 odds, which feels like good value.

Richaun Holmes over 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists vs LAL (-113) -- FanDuel (2:13 PM CT)

Over the past 10 games, Holmes has averaged 30.6 P+R+A. Here, we're getting him against a decimated Lakers team bound to miss plenty of shots, leading to rebounds for Holmes. He should also be able to out-hustle the ghost of Marc Gasol. Montrezl Harrell vs. Holmes will be a fun matchup, but Holmes is also the better player. I don't see a reason for him to slow down against this squad.
